the bushings are DA specific, so if you got good ones reuse em…
this brings up my problem.
i stopped in today to talk to the guy i usually order all my stuff from he also does my exhaust work etc…
we looked up the ES bushings and its a special order piece, which is fine. the problem is i can’t get any until the first week of april its about a 30 day turn around from ordering to when i receive them.
now i have no problem ordering them and sit around waiting, or you guys can that want them can order them yourselves.
i don’t want this to delay shipping these out so in my mind the easiest thing is for you guys to order the ES bushings and that way your not waiting till i get them then waiting again till the whole kit arrives.
i can provide the part number you need to order. so lets see what everyone thinks and go from there. its just one less thing i really need to worry about i’m gonna talk to dan also and see what he had for a lead time on them.
well hopefully this time next week or so i’ll have some just waiting on hardware, and i don’t think i’m gonna order ES bushings it will only delay the process
Material should be in Monday or Tuesday still waiting on hardware to arrive
Price will be $50 updated main post to reflect the price and the current list, which i’m not really going by but i’m making 36 sets this week so theres plenty to go around. just gotta order the hardware up.
If you’re planning on trying to source different bolts you might want to give people the option of your aftermarket bolts or pay a couple bucks more for the OEM ones. I know if I was getting a kit I wouldn’t be interested if it came w/ non OEM hardware. I’m probably in the minority with that sentiment, but possibly something to consider.
Well as it stands right now If I can get non oem bolts it’s a difference between $5 for aftermarket and $20 for oem bolts so that’s why I said I was looking for aftermarket ones if I can’t get the proper bolts then it won’t matter cause they will come with oem just increases my costs greatly the bolts are no different oem to what I have at my disposal to order tho lol I have access to bolts that hold airplanes together I’d be willing to be there much better than anything oem but well see come Monday gotta make a few phone calls
It’s not at all about the quality or strength of the bolts, there’s just some of us that refuse to use non-OEM stuff. I personally use OEM nuts/bolts, wiring… for everything even if it’s a custom project. But like I said, that’s just me and a small handful of others.
If you have a source for bolts that are identical, or extremely close I’d be interested in who you get them from as I’m sure I’d have a use. I’ve had a hard time finding decent metric fasteners that have the same fit and finish as OEM. It drives me bat shit crazy to have non-oem bolts, especially cause many seem to have 13mm heads instead of 12mm or 14mm…
Well the 55mm bolt is stock you need the 59 mm to make up the diffenece from the space the shim takes up and washers to go along with new said bolts to be honest you could prob just find the one longer bolt and not care i usually go oem myself for this I wouldn’t really care it’s under the car no one gonna see it
