I am torn between getting Eibach Sportline and Prokit. Naturally I would go with the lower one, but I had BAD memories when I lowered my 93 Accord where I couldn’t even drive over MOST speed bumps (and yes, I tried all the techniques to avoid scraping and it didn’t work).
I want to have an aggressive look BUT at the same time, I want my car to be a daily driver and I do not want to not be able to drive over speed bumps or steep drive ways.
So my question is can I get the lower Sportline and my car will still be able to be a daily driver? I live in So. Cal. and the driveways are by far the worst I’ve seen where it is EXTREMELY steep.
I have sportlines along with tokico Illuminas on my daily driver. I usually dont scrape at all on speed bumps. However on the really nasty ones I might scrape the plastic front splash guards.
The sportlines work great on a daily driver, they ride nice too. The pro kit barely lowers your car. I think you will be dissapointed if you go that route.
I have the pro kit, and after installing my 4-1 header and driving in Arkansas roads im glad i did not go lower. if i was in a place where thew roads were flatter, in better shape id say go for the sportline.
I’ve had the sportlines for a year or so and I have no problems except for steep driveways, which need to be approached with caution. They are on tokico blues right now, but I’m likely swaping for konis soon.
My concern is those steep driveways which are quite common in California. I know about going at an angle and driving slow, but how bad is it when you have sportlines? With my B+G springs on my 93 Accord, I couldn’t drive over simple speedbumps and definitely not steep driveways and it was lowered to I think 1.6 - 1.8 inches.
Prokit is slightly more expensive although it’s not lower than the sportline, thinking that more people get prokits because there is less hassle in driving in general.

The Sportline IS lower than the Pro-kit. The Sportline will get you: 1.8 up front & 1.5 in rear. The main thing that keeps me away from Eibach is that all their spring kits give you a lower stance in front.
My Neuspeeds are 1.8 all around & it sucks for speed bumps, potholes, bumpy dirt roads, & steep driveways. My Type-R lip is owned by all of them.
It’s just the price you pay for drop. Although I can’t see how some of you ride coilovers & whatnot on the street.
:getsome: :manual:
Heres what you can expect from sportlines with stock wheels.
Plenty of clearance as long as you dont drive it like a rental car, but then again some people advise against ebay short shifters because they are aluminum and snap in half. If you are cautious you shouldnt have any problems. My mudflaps did manage to scrap every once in a while. With the prokit you will be wanting more drop unless you are looking for an oem replacement spring.
Same exact situation with me. Either Koni Yellows or some really good coilovers depending on how well off I am later… Overall, the springs are a great addition to an Integra that you want to make handle better.
here it is lowered on pro kit. not too much of drastic drop.
pro kit on 17’s
Pro kit after accord lip kit
like i stated earlier, it not too much of a drop but since i have a one piece header and the roads here are rough its plenty of drop for me. can’t really speak for anyone that live in cali.
sportlines will give you a good drop. Not too low. I never had trouble scraping. You do, however, have to angle some steep driveways. Im selling my suspension set up if you’re interested. Eibach sportlines with Koni yellows (all mounted together).
Thanks for the pics. I think I will go with the prokit, because although it’s not a drastic drop, it’s enough for the car to look good (as well as improved stability).
I have a forsale thread for the springs/struts in the FS forum… check it out if you’re interested. i have pics too. lmk. They are in great shape too. you just gotta come pick them up (so no shipping cost or waiting for them to come in).
