Ek lca

will a EK lca work on a DA.
*im only wondering this cause i want to put the Funtions form coilovers from my DA on my EK but im not sure if the rear will work cause the lca being to thin since its stamped Steel. im guessing the all honda lca’s can be swaped

i’m not sure about an ek…but i know u could swap it with a dc, eg, ef. not really sure about the ek. but u’re gonna put ur F&F coilover & lca’s from ur DA to ur EK? then ur stock ek lca onto ur da?

makes me wonder why u’d even bother…

only reasone im doing it cause the DA is gonna be parked for awhile and i just bought new coulovers right before it died and i just bought an EK today so i want to put them on, get my moneys worth out of them

From what I have seen, the EK rear lower control arm is both longer in length overall and wider where the forked part of the strut connects. So, you probably won’t be able to use any rear suspension parts from the DA on there. You should be able to put EK coilovers on a DA though if you used washers or something to take up the slack from the wider forked part (but not the lower control arms since they are longer). 88-95 Civic and 90-01 Integra arms are mostly interchangeable (sway bar mounts slightly different).

so if the rear are longer and the DA is shorter since im lowering wont that just correct my camber in the rear.
*im guessing the front can be used if i just use the forks.

Oh yea im puting DA coilovers on the EK

actually it would give you more camber. and if it was shorter the camber would be good but your offset would be higher, i would assume. someone correct me if im wrong…

Theoretically, yeah, the DA LCA could correct camber if it was the right difference in length, but I think it is significantly shorter than the EK one to the point that you can’t use it (you would probably end up with positive camber if it would even connect). The front should fit fine as long as you use the forks that match the shocks. Jack up the car and take a look. A couple minutes with a measuring tape can answer just about any question you have - you’re the one with both cars available to look at.

strut bars

do you guys know of any strut bars that fit the ABS. the vision ones have been discontinued

search and make a new thread if you can’t find the answer - totally off topic in this one.

  1. the “EK” RLCA is not just longer. the angle between the mount points is also different then any of the other civics or integras.

  2. the width of the lower bushing is not really an issue. simple washers to take up the space are al that is needed. just have to be sure to install two washers. one on either side of the bushing.

  3. the “EK/EG/DC” front fork has a larger bore then the DA/DB1/2 one.

  4. the upper rear shock mount for the “EK” is also at a different angle, to correspond with the RLCA, then the other civics.

  5. the hat design is different between the 92-00 civics / 94-01 integras VS the 88-91 civics and 89-93 integras. a couple love taps to the little tabs on the bushing bore will correct that though.
