Yea so the other night i’m driving along and my alarm starts going off (as i’m driving). I turned the car off, stuck my remote out the window and disarmed it. This has happened a few times since. I originally thought the problem was with my alarm. But tonight my cd player shut off too for a second. My car shuts off electrically, but now that i think about it, not everything shuts off. All I noticed was the player and alarm. So could this be my alternator starting to head south? Could it be the alarm’s wiring causing other malfunctions?? I’ve had it for over a month and it just started doing this. Any help is appreciated
if the alarm was the last thing u put in before all this started to happen. i think it could be a loose wire.
The only reason an alarm will go off while driving is that the ignition wire to the alarm is hooked up to the wrong wire or is a bad connection working intermittently. Still the alarm shouldn’t go off unless you have it set to passive arm.
It sounds like you need to have the alarm wiring checked out by who installed it.
