still no luck i cant figure out what the fuck is going on with my car

Does the pass. door turn on the dome light when door is opened?

Can you turn the dome light on using the dome light switch?

Does the door open warning light in cluster come on when a door is opened, [either side]?

Have you checked the fuse(s), courtesy lights fuse 14 -15A, [hot at all times] door open and trunk open warning lights fuse 23 -7.5A, [hot in run and start] both in under dash fuse box.

If all the above are good, remove drivers door pin switch, unplug it and ground the lead directly to the chassis, if still no dome light or chimes, replace the ICU.:whisper:94

??? Not what I asked or suggested.:tapfing:

it started working
What did?

For me to understand and possibly help you must answer the questions I ask…

1- Does pass. door turn on dome light?

2- Can you turn dome light on with dome light switch?

3- Does the door open light work from either door?

4- Have you checked the fuses?

A simple yes or no for the above will do.

The suggestion was…

remove drivers door pin switch, unplug it and ground the lead directly to the chassis

Does that turn on the dome light?:corn:94

OK, so the doors do turn on the dome light, [drivers door after cleaning the switch or grounding the lead directly to chassis] but the dome light switch does not, is that correct?

If so, start by removing the dome light and inspecting the switch and it’s chassis ground, [one of the dome light mounting screws], make sure grounding screw is tight and contact surfaces are clean] let me know if you get it working.

The dome light has two leads going to it, a 12V+ white/blue, fuse 14 - 15A [hot at all times] in under dash fuse box, and it must all be good as dome light does work. the other lead is a green/red, it is the ground supplied by the pass. door switch(s) and the ICU, it also appears to be good as both doors will turn on the dome light.

The dome light switch has 3 positions off, [no ground is supplied to the dome light bulb] door, [ground is supplied by the door pin switches, through ICU on drivers door] and on, [ground to bulb is supplied directly from chassis, mounting screw].

For the door open warning light in cluster start by seeing if the trunk/hatch light works and if the trunk/hatch open warning light in cluster works.

If trunk/hatch light works but open warning light does not, recheck fuse 23 - 7.5A, [hot in run and start] in under dash fuse box, in fact replace it with a new one even if it looks good, or if you have a multimeter or 12V test light check for voltage on both ends of fuse, [when ign. is on] let me know what you find.
