having some wiring issues here 91 ls b20 swap
had it running just fine no problems
car died and when i went back to start it up nothing just clicking from auto seatbelt and main relay
also all gauge cluster lights come on when i key on, hit the brakes, or turn the lights on/off, flash high beams
heres what ive done
checked and cleaned all grounds
swapped main relay with working one
checked all fuses
swapped gauge clusters
bought new battery
only thing i havnt done is physically unplug and swap out ecu since my xtra one grew legs and ran away
any suggestions that i havnt tried would be awesome
also could have the ecu have gotten fried
also what are the symptoms of a non working ecu
key on, do your int. wipers work?
also, i know you said you checked/cleaned all grounds, but how about the thermostat housing ground cluster? the ecu is grounded there, so if you haven’t, look there
update: swapped ecu with working one still nothing
rear wiper will move alittle if you key on/off, hit the brakes, turn light switch on/off really fast which im starting to come to the conclusion that there is a short somewhere behind the gauge cluster
with key on engine off, do the intermittent wipers work?
turn light switch on/off fast with key off i can get rear wiper to move in tiny increments with key on rear wiper doesnt move
windshield wipers dont work at all
looks like i solved it
swapped out light and wiper assembly on steering wheel
swapped out cluster
swapped out ecu
replaced all grounds with new ones
replaced battery
doing one or more of those fixed it
a problem i thought had been fix
car starts and runs but know i get code 8 and code 4 which are tdc and crank pos sensor
car is obd0 so whats with that crank pos sensor?? engine is a b20b
and tdc is in the distributor right could that be bad wiring??
