The tubular design looks good but has anyone used them I’ve not been able to find any reviews

Would you bet your life on those? I went Skunk2 b/c I want to live longer than people that buy cheap, inferior knock off parts. I recently saw on ebay a complete suspension kit with oodles of parts for just a few hundred dollars. Front and rear camber arms, ball joints, rear toe, coilovers and some other nasty looking crap that I could have matched the quality of in my uncles garage by banging away on scrap when I was 12. I’ve spent thousands because I first love myself, and want to be as safe as possible. This love spreads to all around me as well, I would hate to go spinning out on the interstate when some absolute crap breaks. I bet going under a semi truck tire sideways really hurts. So would the wall at a track if one was daft enough to attempt to use a part like that one a real race track (if you manage to have a BLIND safety inspector. I also respect my car and want to keep it as nice as possible for as long as possible.

For that price I don’t even want to know what metal it is made out of. It looks like an idiot bent a tube, cut it, welded in a crude looking box, put 2 notches in it and called it a day when the paint dried. North Korea could do better. For comparison 2 skunk2 replacement upper ball joints cost about as much as those arms and joints.

Skunk2 has over a decade of racing history with this style of arm. They sell well, with many thousands of happy customers. Their arm is thick and there are gussets in a key place to help with rigidity. The welding appears to be very professionally done. Notice how the ball joint bolts are accessible from the bottom. making it much easier to adjust while in the car and it gives better clearance in the wheelwell b/c any respectable DA is lowered. Snapping ball joints are a real bummer, too bad they don’t have a reputation for that like dirt cheap off brand parts do.

I may sound condescending, that’s my goal. If anybody is even considering purchasing this trife they deserve a scolding. I’ve been driving and modifying cars half my life. I’ve seen people get seriously injured and even die in automobiles from bad decisions in one way or another. The more good decisions you make the longer you will love. This rant is more for anybody that comes across this thread in a search rather than the OP personally. I’m not a Skunk2 fanboy, I’d buy a part of this caliber from ANYBODY, but they happen to be awesome so I have several of their parts and plan on buying more in the future. Buy the best parts you can afford. If that is all you can afford spend your money more wisely on something else or save up for better parts.

Happy motoring!

stick with ingall,SPC,skunk, IMO.

Not much of an sk2 fan after their recent drama…

I’ve heard of the SPC units not holding very well, letting the wheel come out of alignment… But that could be user/installer error…

And I was a bit salty on the S2 product when they were selling the EF arms to G2 owners… That’s bad business imo, they were trying to make a quick buck by not putting forth the R&D to make a proper arm for the DA.

That being said, I know a few people who have purchased the new DA-specific arms and loved them. And these are folks who track their car on road courses…

I don’t care about their online “drama”… As long as they’re making and selling a good product, they can have all the drama they please.

I not a huge fan of S2’s boots on their balljoints and from what I still HEAR and READ, there customer service is still subpar. I much rather prefer SPC or ingals over them any day, but that’s just personal preference.
