engine building questions

wats up g2ic…I currently have a b17 installed in my da and I am planning to start building a engine. I would like to build a b16 and from the research so far all b16 heads are the same just the b16a2 has more aggressive cam profiles…but what I want to know is what engine is a good base to start with…

this is my plan of attack:

skunk 2 valves
skunk 2 stage 2 cams
skunk 2 valve dual valve springs and retainers
supertech bronze valve guides
skunk 2 intake and throttle body 68mm
skunk 2 composite fuel rail with aem fuel pressure regulator

as far as the block I would like to use ctr pistons not too sure on what has to be done for them to fit correctly ive heard of ppl narrowing the rods and ive heard ppl just buying the ctr piston and rod assembly

planning on staying with an obd0 ecu setup or should I plan on going obd1 after the build is completed

all info is helpful…I need info on injectors or if I can use the stock injectors…and if anyone has any parts related to my build for sale hit me up

My first build was a lsvtec. I suggest doing a lot of reading, figure out what you wanna go with engine wise, and just go for it. My suggestion if you buy an engine from someone, regardless of mileage n whatnot… replace everything. Full gasket kits, oil and water pumps, belts, sensors, the whole deal.

Stock90GS that was my plans exactly I have already bought most of the sensors and I have all the gaskets from skunk 2 and hondata so I should be good

You’r basing your build on good power adding parts instead of basing it around your hp goal.
You need alote of work done on a b16a block to accept the cams you want.
Ctr pistons already fit a b16a they’re both 81mm. Stg 2 cams need more displacement and 13+ compression to really use them.
Give us realistic power goal and we’ll shoot you some feedback.
