I checked both and it seems to be the pump going to replace it and go from there.
pump replaced but im not getting power at the pump. any ideas?
Check fuse and main relay. Also,do you have a kill switch or a alarm with one?
yes I have a fuel kill switch wired in on the main relay wiring. Should I wire it direct?
Its a brand new fuel pump relay? wheres the fuse or is that it?
My oil light usually comes on with my engine light when your turn the car on but its not. I dont hear the click or the pump priming like normal.
The fuse is under the hood i think,or in the car at the box. Rewire the kill and see what happens.
where at underthehood? at the box?
Yes. Right side on the engine bay.
the underhood fuse box? I never seen one for the fuel pump in there, what one?
Its the only black box there. Its under the hood. If its not there, its in the box under the drivers side kick panel
is it for the fuel pump only?
It is ether the bottom 30A or 7.5A fuse. It donโt say fuel on it. I checked my car and the inside fuse box donโt have anything saying fuel so check all of them. I use a light tester. E mail me your number and ill walk you threw it. kialeh@hotmail.com
I boiled it down to the wiring. I ran a wire from the fuel pump wire (yellow w/black line) to the one one mfr and turned the key and the pump started pumping. I am going to replace the wire tomorrow and see what happens.
It sounds like the cut off switch you have. Might of fried the wire some where. Now where getting somewhere:excite:
haha ya its gotta be some wires lol
Let me know what happens.
replaced the wiring from the MFR to the pump with new, I am now getting fuel at the rail, but it wont fire still. Its not spraying fuel through the injectors and I am not sure whats going on. I dont hear the MFR click and I have two old ones and a new one. I tried all 3 but no luck. Any help would be great before I decide to give up and sell it. I am about fed up.
any ideas?
Try checking every fuse on the car with a test light. You could have blown a fuse with that bad wire and not known it. I think there is one in the kick panel fuse box labelled PGM-FI but check all of them as I think there are a couple related to the MFR. If that all checks out inspect the connector to the MFR and make sure its tight and there are no loose/broken wires.
Thanks I will check and report back!
Everything checked out with the fuses and connector and wires for the MFR, I dont get it :(. I am about to put it up for sale or part it out if I dont figure something out soon.
