k, i need all new motor mounts for my car cause they have never been done, 2 are busted, and they r all warn out… so my thought was to buy from a company that uses OEM replacement mounts that r 100% polyeurathane and are basically full solid mounts… who does this and if noone does then can i buy by part number and just use like the passenger side mount and driver side mount… thnx…
nobody currently makes aftermarket mounts for the DA.
you can, however get poly urethane inserts from Energy suspension or Prothane.
I’m currently running ES front/rear and Prothane sides.
1: Go to Home Depot
2: Buy a caulking gun and a tube of polyurethane construction adhesive (in the paint section)
3: Fill 'em.
Yes, it’s ghetto…but it’s also $7.49 for poly engine mounts.
i had a full set of one like that but i bought em from a friend… so will the polyeurathane stay in it…
So I read all 12 pages of that H-T post, hehe. The thing I still dont get is how in the hell there is more of a demand of G2 owners who want to put a K-series engine in our car than there is for guys with B-series engines, at least according to HaSport. All of us at least started out with a B18 or 17, and the most common swap I see on here is to a B16. Whatever. Hopefully some sweet aftermarket mounts come out of this in the end.

There isn’t. It was just someones business decision. Like being able to say “We were the first and only Co. to have K mounts.” Not to mention the fact that the only real “NEED” for aftermarket mounts in a DA is engine swap (to something other than a B-series), and/or high horsepower (like big turbo).
You’ll need to give the urethane a couple of days to dry/harden, but after that it sticks in like superglue. I’ve run 2 Solo II events with mine now and they still look like I just filled them.
Polyurethane caulking works great. I put it in my front and rear mounts only, to reduce vibration. There is a significant difference after installing them like said before, the car just plants itself to the ground and takes off, shifting is also improved.
would automotive black silicon work?
Personally I’d stick with the polyurethane. And honestly I don’t know. But Polyurethane is good shit, I think silicone might be too soft. If you’re having trouble finding the polyurethane, you can find it at home depot in the roofing section, it shouldn’t be more than $5
Silicone is too soft and it won’t setup as well (it will run all over hell before you get the mounts filled). The result won’t be much better than solid rubber mounts. It’s worth the ghetto look for the poly…trust me.
replacement monunts finally avaliable
has anyone used these mounts yet. seems like they finally have complete replacements monunts for DA’s

yeah its ghetto-performance, i guess that idea came from minnesota cause my cousin told us how to do that.
