Engine performance

I own a 91 ls 4drs and i would like to gain 200 wheel hp or 22 hp

to the flywheel. I know that if I do the b20/vtec swap, i’ll be able

to achieve it easily … but considering the cost of that modification

I would like to know how could I achieve that output with the

B18A engine no vtec … Any site that gives information… cause I

know that high revving is good for race but it kills an engine… or

should I go with the ls/vtec

anybody knows what would be the best… plz reply

tx.

Well, since you already have an LS engine, you’d be an excellent candidate for a turbo application. But with turbo alone, you probably won’t hit the 200 mark since your car is a 4 dr (extra weight), but you’ll be a bit closer. But of course turbo LS/VTEC isn’t a bad idea either.

Four doors are only like 50 lbs heavier and the weight doesnt matter on the Dyno.

Ben

thanks for typing that for me Ben !

let me see…LS/VTEC Turbocharged w/100-shot NOS?

J/K

…it’s called BOOST

NOS?

How come everyone says “NOS”…its nitrous oxide…NOS is a company. Their far from being the only company that makes the ****…Nitrous Oxide Systems… Thats as annoying as people calling a header for a 4 cylinder engine “headers”. “Dang, he must have NOS!”:gun2:

It’s the same principal by whch people call inline-skating “Rollerblading” or simply “Blading” — because rollerblade invented and/or was the main manufacturer, and hence became the most well-known inline skate company, and so on and so forth.

But yes, “headerS” is annoying.

200whp on an LS motor w/o turbo or N20 is gonna be VERY difficult. It can be done, but it wouldn’t really be streetable.

If you want 200whp all motor you pretty much have to go vtec. And then it can be done and still be a very streetable engine.

NOS is a company

nope its the name of the product holley makes “naaawwwzzz”.

there are plenty of B18A’s moking well over 200

In a Superstreet issue a couple of months ago there is one making something like 246 whp.

Inline Four has one making 208 whp (LS/VTEC)

And an Editor for Turbo(I wouldn’t know it he still works there) has one making 400 plus- his goal was 600 i think he made it really close to 600 @ the wheels.

All of these are with no nitrous- including the last one when it was at 400+

Shut up, you whiney biatch :argh: :bawl:

damn that was intelligent…whiny beatch…cool…thats probably why you drive a all stock integra with stock piping and a 4 inch tip and its sounds like my 250r…hope you shot a rod through your block…give you something to stick up your accee…cheer ya up up bit…“whiny ass beatch”.

If your worried about about price, i don’t think turbo ls/vtec would be an option anyway. You could use “nos” (nos is just like kleenex, its a brand but everyone uses it because its the biggest brand) but i consider that cheating. :defend: You gotta get i/h/e of course (get aem intake for an extra 1-2 hp and get the bypass valve). Get and AEM fuel rail and pressure regulator. Get some better Cams and cam gears (aem) and get a pulley kit (aem). Get it port and polished (?). Get a high performance chip (?). Get a fuel managment system for fine tuning (aem). I’m not saying aem’s is the best but they are not bad at all and aem has the best intake that i know of. Just do some searching for parts and don’t settle for the cheapest when the expensive is better. I’ve never done any of this but since these guys weren’t helping you out i decided i would give you something to use.

With all this talking of making so much power, NOS this, turbo that, I’m surprised you guys don’t blow the welds on your intake! Ahhaahahahahaha!!!..ahem…sorry I’m tired.:open_mouth: been up all night :dead:
