hi, when I turn on my integra, the car will run at 1500rpm, on idle without me pressing the gass. but after about 10 min, the car will slowly decrease the rpm and be at 700rpm. My frined said that it the rpm’s are too high for the car to be in an idle position.
Dude don’t call yourself MUGEN if you don’t have an answer for that question:mad: . that is stock, all that means is that your idle control valve is working properly.

WTF’s your problem??? I don’t got a R so I wouldn’t know, and I like this name cause of the Type-R Mugen cars like the rsx, and I just bought my first car so I’m not no ****in pro.
chill out MUGEN_R! MUGEN is not for type-r’s only its for all Hondas so don’t say
LIKE the MUGEN type-r’s
cause you look even more like a fool. I wouldn’t get so pissed of, and the part about “this is my first car” is not a good excuse. Somebody close this thread it’s a waste of space!!!
Oh wait wait, this thread reminds me of this time I was in Pep-Boys and these two guys that obviously drove serious rice-mobiles were standing over in the APC isle. I overheard one guy explaining to the other that the huge exhaust tips are a performance upgrade, because the small pipe of the exhaust leading to the huge muffler decreases air speed, then as the “air” reaches the tip it’s sling shotted out of the huge tip because it’s so big. That’s where you get your hp gain.
dude, nobody is “pro” enough to pick on people who are not knowingly. Just help him out, and he asked a simple question and its obviously has some confusion in it. Don’t have to pick on him for that.
Mugen_r, ignore them…
Stock idle is at 700 rpms. But when an engine is cold, it needs to warm up, so the ecu sets the engine to initially idle up at 1,500 rpm, and slowly lowers that rpm number once its warmed up and is at or around 700 rpms.

Thanks man, What I meant by the Type-R Mugen RSX is the white RSX that’s in Japan and it’s customized by Mugen Sports Mugen Type-R RSX
I just started out with cars and I’m NOT as a fool to say that a sticker puts on 15 extra HP, or a muffler tip to increase the speed of the car.
I know my things about customization, best parts to use, etc… but some **** I’m don’t know yet so give me a break.
Its normal like the others have stated but if its taking 10mins for your car to reach normal operating temp/idle in warm weather, I would change out the thermostat.

Just to be a little picky its…they dont have RSX’s in japan. What your seeing is the mugen ITR.
Alright man hey MUGEN-R i appologize (something i never do). It’s just that i hate people that dont know anything about JDM parts and confuse Eagle rims for MUGENS.I have a MUGEN body kit and a set of MUGEN MF10’s and last night i had some IDIOT tell me that they were selling my rims at the swapmeet for 200 dollars a piece. in case some of you don’t know those rims go for 400 a piece (RARE). I figured that it was true so i went to check and they were the ugliest set of Eagle rims i have ever seen. So hey if you were honestly asking then the fellas have ansered your question. i have just read too many JOkes in this board BIGFOOT>
that kid msut just turned 16 or something cause if he drove any other car before he would know… but still… unless he never sat in a car before he should know almost all cars idle around 600 - 750.
