enron updates... I know I know

they make some pretty good arguments here. If you in this deep, might as well

you can do 12:1 CR, dont be a baby. just need some 110-118. its only $8/gal.
:flame:

^^^^ ill quit whinning when you pay me that 20 bucks a month you owe me from when i owned my lex:giggle: remember I owned that car for 25 months so 25 x 20 is 500 bucks. That ought to pay for some gas for a bit:P ahahaha

pwned buddy! thought i forgot huh? I got 4 days off after today so front end suspension hopefully will start going back on. I just need some new upper control arms (which im thinking of going skunk 2) Im gonna go check out a perfomance shop in elk grove on saturday since ill be out there hanging with the wifes family:)

hit me up if u wanna check out the progress:)

Its all about RevoTechnica! Though their rubber dust seals are rubbish, the kit was actually made for the DA, not just a re-labled EF part.

^^^ hey unified. i just found out as of 2 days ago so does skunk 2. they announced it 1/24/11 for the da specifically!!!

Ive never seen the revo technical but i honestly need new control arms and if I can find something better than the oem esp with a built in camber kit why not right?

just looked up some info on these not bad on the pricing. fronts are 139 a pair. skunks are about 200 a piece. and they have a rear kit for 89 a pair or get all 4 for 195. Thats a pretty good deal.

So unified- how long have you been running the front control arms? only gripe is the rubber dust boots are crap?

Vision UCA’s FTW  Are the Revo or Skunk2’s reinforced?

so revo’s website says this about their control arms… " Revo Technica utilizes a special reinforced closed design camber arm to ensure maximum strength under heavy load. This also prevents flex and distortion of the arm during harsh driving conditions. The construction is a 1 piece design where no welding is involved. This maximizes the overall structure strength which is a similar concept to the OE design."

Skunk 2’s website doesnt say their reinforced but it has a lot of other feel good comments like this:)=

“Each camber kit comes with our one-piece forged patent pending Pro-Series balljoint. The Pro-Series balljoint features a low profile top plate for additional clearance and higher clamping loads for no-slip performance; and can quickly be adjusted from the bottom-up. The Pro-Plus camber kit also includes 3-piece low-deflection polyurethane bushings that dramatically improve handling response, feel, and performance”

colin if you dont mind me asking how much were the vision uca’s?

OK, so I was going to bash that Revo kit for lying but I’m glad I searched a little more. I found pics of Revo UCA’s and some are single piece, non welded as you stated, and others are multi-piece welded. And from what I saw in the pics, the welded version is MUCH stronger. The skunk2 also uses a welded reinforcement. I haven’t looked at mine in awhile but I think the Visions are more reinforced than either the Revo or the Skunk2. If given the choice between the one piece Revo and the Skunk2 I would go Skunk2 hands down, the Revo looks flimsy to me, possibly moreso than stock.

As for the Visions, you can’t get them anymore. JHP or PWJDM was selling them up until a couple years ago and they were expensive, around $500. Which was funny to me since they were dirt cheap by comparison 5-10yrs ago. I got mine second hand from Duy, and I’ve actually never seen another set for sale. I know there are more out there, but other than mine, Nino’s, and Jason’s I don’t know anyone else who has 'em (unless DAve has a set). It might actually be worth putting up a for sale post on NWP or H-T, maybe someone’s got 'em lying around and doesn’t think they’re worth anything. Or maybe someone has 'em and doesn’t know what they are, IIRC there are no brand markings on them.

yea when you think about it. you get what you pay for right?. skunk 2 had 3 levels for there control arms. I might check em out in person tomorrow. I really wanted the built in camber kit feature. just sucks they dont come with the rest of the needed harware to bolt it up into the frame.

oh well I’m going to do some fun shopping tomorrow:D thx for the info colin

I haven’t thought about that in a long time but C is right. I did a VISION group buy through Sheng at JHP for those “in the know” of both the LCAs and MC mirrors. Sheng was just cool enough to give us a serious break on the pricing of both parts because the list pricing on each was about $500.00. I think we did it in 2005 or so…maybe 2004?

Ive had the kit for about 3-4yrs. And yes, my only complaint about them is the rubber dust boots, they wore out way fast. But camber was able to be totally corrected, unlike the S2 product that people are complaining about.

As far as being flimsy, I didnt feel that was the case at all. When I had the piece in my hand it felt like a pretty solid product. Compared to stock, it felt heavier and more sturdy.

I guess another complaint about the Revo setup is the fact that the adjustment screws are on the top of the control arm, which can make for a PITA for slammed cars… Whereas the S2 Pro setup has the screws on the underside.

Either way, I dig the setup I have… If only the rubber dust boots would be durable enough to last longer on lowered cars. Meh, I guess thats just how it goes sometimes.

someones holding out on updates :stuck_out_tongue:
