epic winter this year

320" so far. It’s getting insane out there…

Sidewalk to the house. She’s 5’0

Here’s a video I took today with my GoPro mounted to my R/C plane.

Lucky! I’m glad at least someone is getting some precipitation, it’s been like the god damn Sahara here in California. If we don’t get some rain soon we’re gonna be lookin’ at a pretty nasty drought.

AC is turned on in the house…

Same here, not a drop of rain nor snow, but its colder then hell. Send some of that snow this way…lol
That is one hell of a snow pack…

Yeah, as it turns out I picked a good year to not renew my Mammoth season pass and my brother picked a good year to move away from Tahoe to SF.

send some down here please, i’m heading up to mammoth tonight -_-

unfortunately i had this trip planned way in advance and cant cancel now. Ended up picking the mid winter pass for 300 since i’ll be there 3 days anyway. I’ll be damn sure to go back presidents day weekend to get my 4th+ days in making it worth it…

Oh man, holiday weekends, good luck w/ that. I’ve made it a rule to never be in town on holidays other than Christmas or New Years, oh, and Superbowl sunday isn’t too bad either. Every other holiday is a mess up there.

That sucks, they should let you get your money back. IDK, its been cold every night up here, and the snow makers are all up and running, so lets hope things are good over there. There talking about a storm next week, also, so cross fingers.

Too bad the polar bears are extinct from global warming. If only we’d have all been driving priuses none of this would have happened.

What’s the limit to how much snow you can have on your roof?

No idea on the actual number, but I’d be willing to bet building codes provide for a LOT of weight capacity.

I was thinking the same thing. Googling Alaska’s building code…

I’ve read all states/areas are different. Here, I believe, it’s 160lbs/sqft (minimum)

I to was going to ask this.lol I just saw this tablet ice/snow melting thing for roofs, maybe chuck some of them on your roof, they say it works wonders.

  1. I never realized she was that short.

  2. Super dry here as well.

  3. Great pics!

I would love to go snowmobiling there

the skiing/snowboarding is epic here. they host the world extreme ski championship here.

Is that a tractor at 1:00 and 2:00, and you at 1:50? Pretty cool.

for the past week it has been 40 - 55F up until now at st. louis, missouri. it dropped down to the 20’s yesterday and went up to the 30’s today. next week the temps are going back to the 40 - 55F area.

that is some intense snow, ban. consider me jealous.

Yes, yes and yes.
