ES-12a, Recharging system completely with

Hi all,

I have read a lot about this ES-12a refrigerant and I came to the conclusion that this one is the best solution to my A/C problem but I want to confirm with you guys first so here’s the story:

My A/C had a small leak on the low pressure line and little by little it loose all the charge of the system. I replace the line a couple of days ago with a brand new one and as far as I’m concerned that is all that was wrong with my A/C, everything else was working like a charm and no oil leaks or anything like that. Now I need to recharge the system with new refrigerant and like I said this one looks like the best option for me because:

  1. I don’t need a license to buy it.
  2. It’s cheaper than R-12.
  3. It’s environmental friendly.
  4. Supposely I don’t need a vaccum to charge it in to the system.
  5. Supposely the molecules of this one are bigger than the ones on the R-12, meaning less leaks.
  6. I don’t need to change any oil rings or any other equipment on my system to use it.

This list of things is what I have read in different sites and looks ok to me but what I have not read about it is:

  1. If this will work fine for an empty system like mine.
  2. Confirmation that for sure I don’t need a vaccum on the system.
  3. How to do the recharging myself, (detailed step by step).
  4. How many cans I need and such… (part of the step by step)

If you guys can provide input on some of this item It will be great thank you all.

Sincerely,
GS-R 2391

i just picked up from autorefridgerants.com an r12 recharge kit. 39.95. comes with the hose- 3cans of refridgerant and 1 can of stop leak. i also bought a seperate can of stopleak for condensers ect. to make sure it’s sealed up. I heard using the stop leaks isnt too good for the compressor but whatever
