does anyone have ES bushings and ST sway bars on their car? i’m really looking into doing this soon and i just wanted to know what others thought of the setup…the car is my daily driver but i also autox it…does all this make the ride really hard or what? any info will be appreciated…
i have the energy bushings on the car and i really liked the upgrade over completely worn out factory rubber. the car is just so much more solid in the turns now. install is a bitch but i can give you some tips if you want to do it yourself and save about $700. i dont have the ST bars yet, but i will be ordering them, likely this week, so ill let u know how those do. from what ive heard thats the best swaybar setup to go with. the DA just doesnt “need” anymore of a swaybar than that, and they are priced fairly.
I have the Progress 22mm and I still have trouble getting the car to rotate while autocrossing. So “needing” more rear sway is obviously subjective.
Anyway, don’t use a poly TA bushing. If your stock one is trash then replace it with OEM or the Mugen rubber one (I’m pretty sure they make a DA application). Poly limits the TA movement too much.
To save on install if you don’t have a press, take the piece off and bring it to the shop (ie the LCA). This will drastically reduce labor.
yes if u can take all the suspension apart and put it back together yourself and have someone else actually remove and install the bushings u will save a lot of money. someone might do it for around $150-200.
2ndgn - what r u using for shocks/springs and what front bar do u have?
everything is bone stock on my car…shocks/springs/sway bars…everything

Mugen doesn’t have them for the DA. And you have to buy the entire trailing arm to get the OEM bushing (~$400). If you can find an aftermarket rubber TA bushing, please let me know. I’ve been trying to find a good solution for a while…

Well…shit.
Anyone check the possibility of a DC2 A bushing on a DA? I wonder what the differences are.
