Well, I bought a set of these on ebay a couple of months ago when I put on my Tokico Struts and springs. when they arrived, They were the wrong part. They sent me links for an accord. Luckly, I saw the shipping addrfess was right here in Miami, so I looked them up and called them. I returned the incorrect part and was given the correct part.
When I went to install them, I found the holes on one of them were not drilled in the right place, so it would not attach to the car. I had to make one of the holes bigger so it would align correctly.
One month later, I hear a clunking noise coming from the rear right. Upon raising the car and removing the tire, I see the bushing on the link has come apart and the wheel is moving in and out about an inch.
I called the place again and explained what happened. They told me to bring it back and they’d give me a new one. I went to the shop and they gave me a whole new kit in exchange for the one bad link. The guy told me “Keep the other one for a spare in case you need it”. So I install the new one and figure I’m done.
One month later… CLUNK from the other side. I check both links and they are BOTH coming apart at the same spot.
So I’m DONE with ESR performance. Guess I’ll buy some new ones from a reputable company.
Just went to the Auto parts store and bought the longer bolts and washers… $10
Here’s a pic of the trashed ESR Performance Links. the rubber in the bushing turned to powder and fell out. all four failed the same way after less than a month usage each. and if you look at the bushing on the other side, you can see it’s coming apart too.
what a piece of shit. we put our lives on the line for garbage like this??? You get what you pay for but that company is going to cause death’s and or serious injuries with there half assed products. they should have Accessed the problem by making the product better, not giving you the same cheap ass product back. bad, bad bad bad. ESR performance along with ssautocrome and alot others:down:
i went through two sets as well but mine i didnt even leave the neighborhood. i said fuck it and forked out the money for skunk2 havent had a problem yet. good part and gives me some piece of mind. ive learned when it comes to suspension dont go the cheap route. get the best quailty within your budget. suspension takes the most abuse so dont skimp to save a buck.
I’ll be in Naples the first weekend of Feb for the naples meet. and I’ll be in Orlando the following weekend (02/09) for a Ham Radio show. If you want them, I’ll hold on to them for you. Or, If Hayden (slick92gsr) is still here in Miami, Maybe you can get him to pick them up and take them up this weekend when he goes.
