has anyone ever installed an MSD 6A ignition? if so can you give me info. on what you did and problems that you may have had.

I installed the MSD 6AL in March and just yesterday I installed the new SS coil from MSD along with the modified distributor cap and a new rotor. To be honest, the hardest part about the whole install is mounting the hardware i.e. MSD box and Coil. E-mail me for pics. daduck@knology.net :burnout:
Read this related thread. It’s also a good idea to make sure you read the instructions thoroughly as well. If you have any further questions, post back. If using your stock coil, make absolute certain that your coil wires are coming from the MSD unit only and not from the stock igniter as well.
There should only be 1 pair of wires going to the coil (stock or aftermarket) when you are finished with the installation prior to start-up.
