Anyone ever put stock evo viii seats in a DA, i searched but didnt come up with anything. I found a pair i am considering buying and was curious if anyone had done it before. thanks
no but they’re real nice…see if you get the measurements, measure out the DA rail and take it from there
hack those nice seats up…
man… that would look awesome! GL with that. If you attempt to make that work. Do a write up on it so we can see what you did…
…
They’re Recaros.
It should be feasible to say that you just need to get Recaro or some other kinda universal rail bars & use those. Or take’em to a welder along w/ some pre-made brackets. Hell, maybe you could get your DA rails welded to the EVO VIII seat bottoms.

Corniest quote ever: “Get yours today! JDM is IN!”
i actually just installed some evo seats into my da, ill try to get pics up. it was a pain in the ass to say the least
theyre a good option for those of us stuck with a blue interior
damn dude, that looks pretty damn good.
me wanty :hump:
omenbmx7- yeah i was actually lookin at them as well since i have a blue interior also. what all did you have to do to make them fit? Were you able to keep the electric belts?
a lot of grinding and drilling, hard to explain exactly unless you look at the bottom of the seat, sliders, and brackets. yes i was able to keep the auto belts, i used sparco brackets. you can see the collectors in the picture, just shimmed them out a bit so they wouldnt hit the bolsters when adjusting the seat forward
ok cool…i know some people at a machine shop, u think it would be easier to go that route and have them make me some custom brackets or the route that you went to get them to work
well its hard to say. are you going to use sliders as well? i ran into clearance issues with the slider handle. if youre handy with a drill and dremel tool its nothing you couldnt handle on your own
If you had height-adjustable recaro sliders and wedge DA brackets, it would be a bolt-on affair.
you might be right, i just used some “universal” sliders and recaro brackets because i had them already
ya, the height adu sliders are dope man, you can actually drop the seat height about 1/2-1 inch lower than stock for a better feel and slower CG.
however, if you used universal sliders, they might already be low… as for brackets, i have wedge brackets… i couldnt find recaro ones for our car.
Does anyone know if you can modify these seats somehow to tilt forward to provide backseat access? I know that the Evo XIII Seats I am getting don’t tilt since the Evo is a 4 door car… I would like to retain backseat access if at all possible.
Ideas??
damn i like those seats more than the itr ones.
