Any body installed a Excedy Single disc organic clutch? I was looking at either that clutch (which is the basic excedy) or maybe the organic Hyper clutch. I need something i can take to the track and thrash but still be able to drive in stop n go city traffic. Any suggestions as to which clutch to buy?
Unless you have some serious power/tq under the hood, then a street disc is all you’ll need for track.
I never understood why people run 6 puck clutches on a car with boltons. not only does it make the car alot harder to drive, it kills the tranny.
I was running a ACT street disc and pressure plate in my old built LS that was making 180whp/141lb-ft (to the wheels) and the clutch held up fine.

only thought i have is maybe i should have gotten a 12lb. flywheel but the ITR is great. i’d say my setup is great for street and for backroad twisties.

i third that… exedy organic is super sweet and grippy enough. I’m running exedy organic with spoon flywheel and my car is crazy rev happy. Unless you have lots of mods 30% over stock is more then enough, especially if you want it streetable

I am really interested in buying the clutch. In one of the other threads the guy had a 8K mile excedy organic for sale for $180. What is the condition of the clutch? depending on condition i’ll give anywhere from 150 to 200

I have a Exedy stage 1 with a act flywheel and love it. Its good for every day driveing and when you want to pop the clutch it goes. Its a very nice set up dont think I would go to anything differ.
which act flywheel do you have? I was thinking about getting the 12.5lb one.
12lb act prolight flywheel and yes I can tell a big difference from stock. Revs much faster.
You do realize that Exedy makes a stock replacement clutch which is much cheaper than the Exedy stage one full face organic. Make sure you get the Stage one if you want better performance than stock while maintaining a good streetable engagement and feel.

i have the exedy organic and a fidanza 7.5lb flywheel…i love them!
