Exedy clutches......any good?

I am going to be running a stock B16 in my rex and was wondering if exedy clutches ae any good? I am not going turbo, nitrous, supercharger or anything major just bolt ons. Will this clutch hold up and is it better than stock? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

i’m tryin to find out the same thing…

http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13856

found an Exedy clutch for my G2 for $260 shipped, but still lookin if i can find an ACT, Centerforce, or Clutchmasters for less than $350 shipped…

Do this:

ACT’s HD Pressure plate.
Stock Disk.

You’ll be thrilled and feel safe knowing that you’re using the OEM disk. Whole setup is $425. (Not incl. installation)

exedy are good clutches, although I didn’t know they made 1 for the G2…ACT clutches IMO are the best…all comes down to how much u want to spend.

I’ve owned two Exedy clutches before, so I’ll tell you what I know.

First of all, they make clutches for 90-91 and 92-93 Integras, so application isn’t an issue.

Just as a side note, Exedy is the OE manufacturer for several Japanese auto companies, but the Exedy full faced race clutch is by no means a stock clutch. Also, several aftermarket clutch companies have been known to remanufacture Exedy disks to their own specs.

And yet another side note… if you buy a Toda clutch kit, the pressure plate will be IDENTICAL to the Exedy full faced race clutch.

Feel-wise, Exedy is similar to stock. The pedal does become slightly stiffer, but not by much (very nice when you’re stuck in traffic).

Holding-wise, the clutch definitely grabs firmer than stock. You can feel it in the shifts, but by no means makes everyday driving any more difficult. This clutch is ideal for stock and tuned N/A motors… unsure of how it’d hold up under FI conditions. At $259 shipped, it’s quite a deal.

Brian 93teg: I do believe I mentioned all of the above information to you over AOL IM after you asked. The only reason you have the honor of being the first and only person on my “block list” is because you repeatedly called me a “dick” after I simply said “Damn, man. Weren’t you listening when I told you last week?” when you asked me what I thought of Exedy again one week later. I hope you understand.

Thanks for all the info guys! Sounds like that is the clutch for me! Not looking to run 10’s, dont want to spend a grip, want a stock feel, and quality!!! Thanks again!

Brian93teg where did you find that clutch at? Also is that the stock version, street or race?
