Before I had Greddy MX exhaust until i sold it last year. The exhaust was koo, made decent power but it just got annoying after wards. Too Loud for a daily. Right now I’m just running intake and headers with stock exhaust, might even throw on a high flow cat (maybe). Would there be a difference if i were to changing the exhaust piping to either 2.25 or 2.5? Would is sound too “RICE” or would it sound different or stock. Would there be a noticable difference? Reason why I’m asking is because the pipes all have dents and dings and its just fucked up. Please give me some tips or advise or helpful information. pics are always nice too.

a larger pipe diameter will yield better performance. the stock muffler is design is very restrictive, it would be bottle necking the advantages of the larger piping. if you want something quiet while giving good performance, use a 2.5" muffler in place of a resonator with 2.5" piping and use another 2.5" universal muffler to cap it all off. with a high flow cat, it would tone it down even more. more money, but doing something less would not make much sense to me

the sound is more dependent on the muffler than the diameter of piping
