i just finish installing a b16a in my integra and i noticed that the exhaust manifold is smoking, does anybody know what is causing that? any suggestions of what might be causing that would be helpful!
After i started up my car after stting there for a while, the exhaust manifold was smoking up too. i believe it is just grease and whatever else crap that the manifolds touched. HTH
did u tighten it up to spec? goes it go away? any kind of liquid getting on it? color?
thanks for the replys guys, my exhaust manifold has been sitting for awhile, like a month and some antifreeze got on it but it has been smoking for awhile, one would think it had burned out whatever it had on it already. it was white smoke that was coming from the exhaust manifold. i used a breaker bar to tighten those bolts… any other suggestions?
The gasket might be bad, you might want to replace it.
i just used the header gasket yesterday and its still smoking… is that normal and brand new engine? my b16a is rebuilt from top to bottom any other ideas?
im having a similar problem on my b18a. I havent changed the gasket yet but i will and see if it fixes the problem
