Exhaust on passenger side

I’m currently running my exhaust out the passenger side of my 90 Integra RS. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cover the cutout on the driver’s side? Are there any lip kits that will fit an integra that have a passenger cutout or no cutout at all?

all i can say is take your time when your doing it . i did mine and rushed it just to have to fix it all over again . but i used the same piece that you used to cut it out and molded it back to the other side

done here as well. ill see if i can find pics… they’re here somewhere…

Wow… is that a lot of work? Seems like you have to cut it to the EXACT shape of the other side then “mold” it on? How exactly do you mold it on? Is it like bondo-ing it on?

yup. you got it. thats exactly how i did it. wasnt really all that hard. a ruler, and a sharpie. get a good cutter. the stuff used to “glue” it back together - i’m not exactly sure the specific nome of the stuff, it was kinda like bondo, but purpose for bumpers, really flexible and rubbery.

You basically just glued it on from the backside/inside of the bumper? No need to repaint on the front right? Thanks

perhaps i needed to explain further:

i cut the left side “exhaust cutout”, in a precise, rectangle shape. physically cut it all the way out.

then cut the exact same shape/size over on the right side of the bottom of the bumper.

swap the two pieces.

ok, so , yes, on the backside of the bumper is where we glued/bondo’d the pieces into place. we did reinforce them a little bit as well.

on the front (visible) side of the bumper, there WILL be a noticable seam, where the pieces have been swapped. you can do what you would like from this point-on…i chose to sand it down a bit, add more filler, and smooth and repaint. looks like factory now. i personally wouldnt leave the seams there. doesnt look finished at all to me.

Ahh now it sounds clearer  Got pics of both sides of the bumper… I wanted to see how good you’ve sealed up the seams… thanks!

here is one shot (not the greatest), you can see the exhaust coming out the right side, and also the custom molded side extansions that i made…
(also the long-gone craptezza’s, lol)

hope that linky works…

Wow… looks like it came out from the factory, very clean. Good job! Thanks for the pics

no prob. i know i have some better pics around somewhere…blah…i have to many. lol

the side extensions are actually the lower portion of a 91 rear bumper. i had a spare sittin around, and decided to play with it. molded them in with the same bondo-like stuff we used on the exhaust cutout. came out pretty neat. i will probably fabricate a rear diffuser for the car as well. carbon fiber FTW.

Wow… very creative. Good idea about the rear diffuser… take pics if you do fabricate such a thing… would love to see it on the car…
