Does HKS make a full cat back exhaust for the 92-93 GS-R’s? Or do you just buy the muffler and get a test pipe for it? On there website it shows just the RS, LS, and GS for the full cat back for the HKS
The 92-93 works on the GS-R as well. I know because I have it on mine.
I wonder why they didnt have it listed. I was all set in a different direction, but since I can buy the HKS, im all for it again! So just order the 92-93? and it will fit my 92 GS-R with out any test pipes or anything?

Yep, they are the same. Does anyone have the silencer for the 96mm outlet hiper? I’m trying to figure out why it doesn’t fit the Carbon Ti Models and what I can do to make some sort of silencer fit.
How come they have 2 different names for the same exhaust? and If I bought a 92-93 GS,LS, RS HKS exhaust, will it will fit perfectly since my car is a GS-R?

Theres no difference in fitment or length between a 92-93 GSR and Non GSR. There’s probably 2 different names thrown around because there’s 2 versions of this exhaust. And the newer says “HKS Hi Power” on the tip.

alright i installed this exhaust a while ago and it sounds really good. The only problem that i have is that the canister is touching the bumper and its beginning to burn/melt the bumper. Anyone else have this issue? If so, how’d you fix it?

Mine doesn’t touch the bumper. Maybe one of your hangers got bent during shipping.
Just take the car to a muffler shop and have them adjust it.
Mine sounds great. I like having an exhaust that doesn’t sound like your typical honda.
Yeah I like the loudness, to me its useful for that bastard taking his time to check his watch while reading the newspaper and crossing the street at the same time, it really makes em jump!!!

Dude are you a moron or what? This HKS is a direct bolt on for a DA chassis doesn’t matter if its a RS,LS,GS,GS-R. Its a direct bolt on cat back exhaust. Like some one said before stop asking the same dam question. The only difference you car has over any other 2nd gen teg is that it came with a B17, diff interior cloth and a 8k redline tach. The rest is just cosmetics. All 90-93 tegs use the same unibody.

waitin for some sound clips of that HKS. i still say that the HKS is one of the only canister systems i actually like anymore. the slant owns all. i’m surprised the can i was rockin before my SP2 sounded as good as it did. oh well, too loud for the 5-0.
i cant wait to start my new job so i can start fixin my DA and get a Hi power so i can get rid of my gay tsudo
