Man, parts are hard to find for these cars. Any preference input would appreciated, if you prefer aftermarket exhaust or keep it stock.
Well I have the HKS HI-POWER on my DA. It sounds nice, but kinda loud. It’s probably in my head, but I noticed it pulls really hard once you open that throttle. The only bad thing I can say about it is that it is really annoying driving on the freeway cuz it drowns out my music and all i hear is vrrrrrrrrrrrr. haha
parts aren’t that hard to find. just gotta know where to look.
the three best exhaust options are:
RS*R Ex-Mag- Everyone loves this one, a little TOO subtle for my tastes.
GReddy SP2 - I have this one personally, and think its the best one out there for our cars.
HKS Hi-Power (aka Hiper/Hyper etc.) - Great canister exhaust system. the only one i actually like. though is a little louder than both exhaust systems posted above. not a whole lot, but a little. and given that its a “canister” system, you’re more prone to get dirty looks from the police. ESPECIALLY in Alexandria.
I have a Thermal R&D on my teg. I like it. Can get kinda loud, but it just has a nice rumble at idle, and doesn’t sound like a swarm of bees. I guess alot of people on here like the Tanabe Hyper Medallion. Check that out too. Really it’s just a matter of personal taste.
I just switched from the HKS Hyper to the Tanabe Touring Medallion. The piping on the HKS wore out (rusted) in about 5 years from being low to the ground and having snow in the winter. The Medallion is sweet, all stainless, sounds a little more quiet than the HKS (which wasn’t terribly loud in the first place), and performs virtually the same. Looks wise it mounts stock vs. the 45 degree HKS. If I lived where it didn’t snow, however, I would have gotten the RS*R.
i was lookin at getting the vibrant performance axleback because i was looking for a quiet/non ricy/good looking exhaust and i hate the exhaust i have now. However i found out today that vibrant no longer makes exhaust for DA’s!! :wtf:
whats a good sounding axleback?? i have a dc 4-2-1 header and 2.25 piping also
cops were my cue to change back to OE …so I went shopping for the cheapest…there are none…so I went with the most reasonably priced…Bosal Cat-back with Very OEM looking double barrel tip…but the sound that comes out of this system!!! …oh yeah… very nice… nice throaty sound (almost but not quite G35’ish) when you mash the gas but you can actually hear your passengers when they’re speaking…chrome tips look great too…
RS*R Ex Mag FTW!!
I’m hoping to pick one up in the next few weeks.

Same here! Saving that cash for my ground controls right now:rockon:
We make our own now so I’m biased.
da1990da, Vibrant does make an Axle Back Exhaust for 2nd gen integras:

If any one has this exhaust, I would like to hear your comments and feedback.
Currently have the Sebring on. Nice smooth sound, a little throaty.
yea i called vibrant the other day and they said that they dont make the axle back for DA’s anymore. However its still listed on the website so i was goin to try and order. But just in cast i wanted to know if there were any other good axle back systems
as im told rsr ex mag is the best out there… it does cost money and is reachable its not like its impossible to get.
