Exhaust Valve?

I found a 90 Integra LS with about 90k on the new motor, but it needs an Exhaust Valve in the second cilender. I am just wondering how much work this really is. I know I need to take the head off, but other than that is it just a drop in part, or do I need to do other things to get it in there? About how long will this take? What causes a bent valve, is this a sign of a bigger problem or what?

I am looking at the car tomorrow, so it would be nice to know these things before I get the thing.

Once you get the haed off you will have to remove exhaust cam, then get a valve spring remover and swap out the valve. You will probably have to swap out the old valve seal for a new one to! Then reassemble!

The causes for bent valve could be timing belt slip, so the piston hit it. Or someone fucked with the head and didn’t re-adjust the valve lash. I am sure theres others but, you may need a new piston it the piston hit the valve!

Just rebuild the head while its out of the car and all apart.
