"F" whoever stole my car!

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011. Today SUUUUUCKS!

I woke up this morning, got ready for work, opened my front door . . . Where the Fuck is my car?! I didn’t believe it at first. I stood at the spot where I park for almost a minute. Then I went back in the house and called the police. Cop came by and took down the info and what not. Shot the bull with him for a bit, then called my insurance company. I last saw my car last night before I crashed out around 11-11:30pm. I woke up this morning around 5:30am. So it happened between then.

I honestly never thought this could happen to me. Some may look at my DA as a P.O.S. But, it’s my P.O.S.! I have not washed her in months. The black paint was all faded and clear coat peeling. The hood was banged up from an accident I had. The paint on the hood is all sorts of scratched up as well. OEM head lights cracked but, still intact. Rear bumper has a big dent on the passenger side corner, from a big truck that rear ended me. I have a sunroof visor that’s cracked but, still does it’s job. The beige interior is pretty dirty and stained in some areas. I don’t even have a flashy after market radio. I was rocking a stock tape deck from my mom’s Del Sol. Hell, it wasn’t even mounted. So, if I hit a bump or turn too fast, it would pop out. The Fat 5s were in pretty o.k. condition but, the clear looked to be oxidizing. Who would want to take that?! The only engine mod I have is an AEM cold air intake. Suspension wise, the car is lowered on Skunk2 Pro-Ss with Revo camber arms in the front and Skunk2 camber arms in the rear.

The car was located in National City (San Diego). Plate # 5MAJ446. If anyone can please help to keep an eye out, I’d very much appreciate it. I fuckin’ hate thieves. I guess this is a lesson learned for me. Don’t be a victim. Even your P.O.S. can get stolen. I’ll have some pics up later today when I get off of work. That sucks too . . . Sunday morning and I’m at work again.

It sucks sometimes to take the San Diego Transit/Trolley sometimes, especially how spread out San Diego is. Sorry for your loss and I second your opinion on theives. Hope you can get it recovered ASAP (and all in one piece). Theives going so far as to stealing POS, now thats ridiculous.

That sucks man :frowning:

here’s to hoping that the perpetrator castrates himself and you get you ride back with minimal damage/missing parts.

^^^ I 2nd that.

do you recall how much gas was in the tank?
they’ll probably just drive until it runs out.
or do some jobs with it. in which case the cops may want to keep it for a bit to dust for prints. if they get caught in it with evidence of other criminal activity.
i’m sure they’ll find it in the next few days, probably abandoned. but ye, i definitely feel you on that. it sucks having your shit taken and not knowing wtf is going on with it.
few years back my da got gripped from the convenience store. next day, i hop out the shower, peek out the window to autostart my crx. gone too. 2 cars in 2 days. motherfucker. at least they found one of them.
good luck, bud. hopefully turns up unscathed

Suuuuuuucks to hear bro… hopefully they do find it with minimal damage.

I have a similar story as welfare… my buddy woke up in the morning for work, and not only was his freshly B16b-swapped (yes, civicR motor) eg hatch gone… but also his 1990 DX Civic with a JDM B16a swap. TWO cars overnight. Both recovered, fully stripped.

The thing you have going for your car being a ‘POS’, is that its less likely it was stolen for parts, and more likely that it was stolen for a joy-ride.

Again, hopefully you get it recovered… fawkin National City!

Man that sucks…

Update!

8-8:30pm: San Diego Sheriff(s) found my car. Said that nothing was damaged, stripped or burned.
8:45-9:15pm: Tow truck picked up car and brought to the impound yard.

I’ll be picking her up tomorrow after work. They said it would cost more if I were
to pick her up tonight, since it was after hours. I hope everything is O.K.

Lets hope so,glad to see they found it so quickly. GL

yeah I thought nothing majore would of happen to your car, it must of been someone looking to get home in the middle of the night. my buddy got his 91 prelude stolen and found it intacked up in L.A. a couple hours later.

mine got broken into and must of used a slimjim or blank key cuz i didnt find any signs of forced entry, well my 30gb ipod and couple of mag led flashlights were stolen… I dont keep my car in that area anymore and dont leave it out anymore.

i swear when mine was stolen i stood there for a second stunned as well. im glad you found it though

I had a DB1 stolen a couple of years back. We have a DVR setup at the house and I timed them to see how long it took to steal the car. At around 2am…It was gone in less than two minutes! Integras with OEM auto locks can be broken into in less than 30 seconds with no signs of forced entry. I’m not going into details on how, but when we recovered the car I tried it myself and couldn’t believe how easy it is to get into our cars with little effort. And no key blank is required, Just some every day household items that most likely everyone has at home…

Anywho, if you love your DA, DB I highly recommend to get somekind of alarm and install a couple of kill switches. A vehicle GPS tracking device is on my wishlist. Google “cause for alarm” for some good advice that I now use on my Integras and has so far worked very well. It’s not guaranteed that your car won’t be stolen, but at least make it somewhat more difficult for them to take. Or hopefully they will look elsewhere for an easier vehicle to take.

Thank God you caught some good news. Dont forget about us and let us know about its status. Picks of anything out of the ordinary, lets see the POS(I know its GOLD and Platinum to you now after this experience). POS or not, its your car and theives need to keep their hands to themselves. We need one of those middle EAST laws in the US, show me which hand you stole it with and we will cut it off! Thats one less hand you can jack off with Bitch ass theives. They will think twice if they want their other hand cut off. No jacking off then…

^^i think not being able to jack off would be the least of my worries lol

I went to the impound yard to pick up my car. Seems everything was o.k. . . . from a distance. I get closer and open the door, only to find my dirty beige interior is now greasy, filthy and stained beige. It looked like the thief was a filthy mechanic who just got off of work and just hopped in my car. Of course, the ignition/key cylinder was thrashed/ripped out. The plastic surrounding the steering column was cracked and discombobulated. My ashtray with (I’d guess) almost $10 of change was missing. My sunglasses were gone along with my work out gloves, my cel phone charger and my little Godzilla coin bank (dash ornament, LOL). Worst of all, my bag of Craftsman tools in the trunk is gone too. With the exception of a screwdriver left in the center console to use for a key to turn the car on and off. And, the most obvious of them all was the missing (more than 1/2) tank of gas. Sitting in that filth on the drive home, it all finally kicked in . . . I am now pissed. That grimy bastard tainted the fuck out of my car. I was the victim of vehicle theft and, I still have to pay the impound yard $200 to get her out. Man that blows! Luckily I do have insurance. Now she’s back at home and I’m waiting for the insurance adjuster to come by and assess the damage. Once this is all done I’ll clean her up and I’ll have my P.O.S. back again. Just with more security this time.

FUCK ALL YOU GRIMY THIEVES!!!

Good to hear shes back home

All I gotta say is that your fucking lucky! I’m glad to hear that you got it back in tact for the most part. As far as paying $200 for impound and greasy seats, I say you got away pretty easy. It could have been a total loss like mine was. But good luck on the rebuild.

Also, damage a few things purposely so Insurance can pay for it. lol.

So the claims adjuster came by to take a look at the car earlier. Pretty cool guy. He’s had his share of bad luck with thieves and a Honda or two that he’s owned in the past. He told me that they’re not going to repair the car. They’re going to give me the value of the car instead. Now, I have 2 options. 1.) They buy the car from me for what ever it’s worth and auction it off or what ever they do with it. 2.) I keep the car (which now has a SALVAGE Title to it) and they give me what ever it’s worth minus a percentage of some sort. What should I do? Decision decisions. I’m actually kind of over it. If I keep the car, I might just part it out. We’ll see . . .

when my car was totalled, i opted to rebuild the salvaged title. i love my car and i dont want to ever see it go. i dont care if ill never get any money back from insurance because its a rebuilt title, but on the bright side, you really only have to pay liability now because its not worth anything. if anything, i love my car even more now because i brought her back from the dead.

dam dude great to hear you got car back though and nothing majorly wrong.
I had my car stolen not to long ago and completely stripped nothing left but shell when the cops found it.
I say you keep it and rebuilt it. I decide to part ways with my baby and now i regret it. Looking for another one to build.
