Factory db2 harness problem

So i picked up a Db2 thats engineless (currently plan to swap c5 that i had in an old obd1 DA) anyhow it lacks all harnesses under the hood. It still appears to have the dash harness so I have been searching for the factory db2 chassis/main and engine harness. (no luck) My question is could i use a obd1 LS chassis harness and engine harness and run vtec wires or will it be incompatible under the dash. I don’t want to get into a wiring mess and i don’t want to buy an expensive harness from a junkyard and not be able to use it. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I would imagine any engine bay harness from 92-93 will work fine. If you dont get a vtec harness you can always run the wires.

I believe one plug for the DB2 harness is on the opposite side compared to 92-93 integras.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Buy DB2 (very rare as you know)
  2. Convert a 92-93 engine harness to fit the DB2 chassis ( it’s been done here by a couple members, search “db2 gsr harness”
  3. Convert your main cabin harness to a non-db2 harness and run the vtec lines.

Though he was doing the opposite (DB2 engine harness into non-GSR cabin) its the same concept.

I think if you can take apart a non-db2 engine harness and move the connector to the other side it might work. I’ll even take pictures of the connectors off my DB2 if you need help which wires go where.

I have a DB2 engine harness I bought new back in 08 that I removed from my GSR after it was totalled. It was a $600 harness new from Acura. I think its discontinued now. Throw me an offer.

sorry man, i went to a local junkyard today and bought the whole LS main harness for 100, now all i lack is the engine harness which now has to be LS also i’m pretty sure

i think that harness is for a 3rd gen gsr, but yea its too late now…looking for LS engine harness now and ill just run vtec wires
