Fast-Blinking turn signals

I haven’t started the project yet (i’m in 5th period in school right now), but once i do (once i get home and …i’ll post pics and detailed instructions…i was j/w if anyone was interested or if anyone else has already done it successfully…

i just disconnected my bumper lights!! there is no use for them except in a hazard situation!! dont get me wrong there still there there just disconnected!!

www.hyperflasher.com sells relay turn signal for our cars, I bought the 4x one, and its really fast! the 6x one gives strob like effect, never had problem with my 4x for 1year now

oh sweet, tnx

there’s an easier way to make fast blinkers if u know how to solder and a lil electronics. Take out the flasher relay, and there is a resistor (forgot which one) but take the resistor out, and solder a lower amp resistor in its place, and it will make the current run faster. Saw this on a webpage a while ago, hth

See if you can find the url, toss it up…but that hyperflasher shizit is hella easy…

if i remember correctly all you do is replace one of your bulbs with a bulb of different resistance. this change is detected and makes the system think its blown, hence fast blinkers. its easiest to do it with one of the rear bulbs, i forget which one and with what model bulb tho.

i remember, PEP BOYS and CHECKERs sell this LED BULB that fits the same socket, and it has a smaller wattage, which pushes the current faster…i know it works because my cousin put LED signals in his accord tailight and it blinks faster than normal

easiset thing to do is disconnect the bumper lights … but those damn fast signals get annoying

actually if you just cut the ground on the bulb harness it will still have the affect plus you get to keep your bumper lights.

wait…wha?

Cut what wire? where?

Pic plz…

I bought the APC l.e.d. bulb from autozone for my turn signals and it fit just like the stock bulb and it made my blinker way faster. I believe the bulb number was 1157. I hope this helps

koo, how much they run u?

On the Teg Tips, they have a thread on how to make your stock fog lights turn on seperate from the headlights. Do that and convert your bumper lights to fog lights by taking them out of the turn signal light circuit and adding a switch for your new biumper fogs (used to be turn signals). And VOILA! you have 2 sets of fog lights, the stock ones, lighting up without the headlights turned on, and you have your new bumper ones, believe me, it’s pretty sharp. I personnally did that on my '93 RS and it turned out very nicely.

Buy LED bulbs as mentioned and place them in your turn signal slots in the rear 1156 if you are 90-91 or 1157 if you are 92+

yeah I have alternating rapid flashers,

what i did was re route the bumper light socket to the corner then rewired it…email me for more detailed infor, but it looks phat, my coreners alternate and flash rapidly!

My driver’s side directional, malfunctioned somehow and started to rapidly blink front and rear, while the pass. side is normal. Anyone else have this happen to them?

That is the cars way of telling you that bulb is burnt out or that there is a malfunction in the wiring for that bulb/signal.

HTH,

Mike

Yeah, I already mentioned the fact that its “malfuntioned”, but mostly wondering if this has happened to anyone else. The bulbs are fine.

Check your grounds…especially the one on your turn signal relay (right underneath the steering wheel behind the panel) A missing ground causes em to strobe
