FF type 1 issue

Alright so i bought a 92 da9 and it came with function and form type 1’s full coilover. When i bought it, it was already slammed. I daily drive it so i wanted to raise it up a little bit so i began with the front raised it a couple inches and it was perfect. Then i started on the rear and i began spinning the bottom tube down but after a couple turns it fell off. Which meant that is as high as its going to get!

This is how high the car is able to go… yea not very high. lol
So i just figured that the suspension was not made for the car. So i started looking for a different setup, but the thing that threw me off was that the FF rides super smooth on my car…
So today out of curiosity i called function and form and tried to see if they can identify what type of car its for.
After talking to them and explaining the situation, we came down to the conclusion that the suspension is actually right for my car. I guess FF decided to make the bottom tube of the rear shock quite short because supposedly “people like riding that low”.
BUT the good thing is that they sell a extended lower tube for the rear which is $25 each.
The guy says its like 3 inches longer which is perfect so i went ahead and bought it

Just thought id go ahead and post this just incase anyone else had this problem or anything. I will post a picture of the rear bottom tubes when they come in, and show the difference… here they are.

lol i had the same problem i just decided to leave it like that i took it all out

Haha yea i thought others would have the same issue!

i have the yonaka ones same problem, guess ill just order the rear extenders for the f&f since they are the same just different color lol

Are they really the same? haha Just make sure 100% that they are.

btw how do those coilovers ride?

pretty smooth, and yea put them side by side, identical except the color, someone told me that they are made in the same factory

Being slammed is the complaint that I’ve heard from members that bought these. Made me appreciate the tein HA setup I had. Could slam and monster truck in those. But hey, as long as it rides well and you’re careful on uneven surfaces then who cares!

hmmm yea cuz i seen the products that yonaka makes and they look like decent quality parts. just never bought anything from them cuz i was scared.
Yea at first i didnt care, but then i got my jdp lip and ITR header. and i also live in the central valley of california. which means rough roads and random bumps! fuck that.

lol , i love my f&f type 1 rides good on turns no complaint so far heres a pic of my db2 dropped on f&f1 looks kind of like yours cali.s lol but yours looks cleaner

haha it does look like mine. Couple tweaks and it will be even better then mine! Im shooting for some oem window visors and real rims tho. just waiting to find them tho haha

i have hic ones and luckly found a sunroof visor two days ago oem one thats says honda and have a acura emblem on the visor at the junk yard for 10$ lol with bracket and bolts

i just need my rear window visor now

this is when i had it on 16 te37 rep and havent put on my f&f 1 shocks

Cali. S the pic u posted is with the coil over raised up all the way?? And it sits that low???

iloveda9: yea they sit that low all the way to the bottom but front can be raise more but not rear

u cant raise it that high from the back unless u get the rear extender body for the shocks but front can be raise more

Yup that was as high as the back goes. And the front can go way higher.

Dahm you came up bro! I just got a oem sunroof visor yesterday for 40$ haha

lol yea i seen them go up for more too thats still a good decent price i like how it looks too, i just got a hood bra for $30 yesterday too lol
