DAMNIT! haha last run i was pissed because i thought i was in the 14s… next time im going to launch @ 5k, ive been sticking with the tried and true 3200rpm launch, but i upped it to 4k last night on my 3rd run and shot off the line like a bullet.
Yes, get rid of that long geared tranny and pick up a short gear cable tranny. I also have a b20b with bolt-ons galore with a ls tranny and i know for a fact that its holding me back, with a exedy flywheel and exedy organic clutch and CTR crank pulley it pulls through the gears pretty quick, i can only imagine what it would be like with a short geared tranny. My best time so far is a 14.6 @ 95mph, thats with the ls tranny, stock rev limiter (6500  ) and 95 ls cams. Soon to come are crower 404’s, BFG drag radials, and try to find a short geared tranny and im for sure ill be in the 13’s. Ill have people wondering :wtf: is up, all from a low comp. non-vtec b20b not spraying either. Its fun for a daily driven box.
wow, now i have expectations for my b20
I just got the engine and tranny all put together and set up.
tomorrow it’s going in the car.
b20b w/P8R head
12lb flywheel
stage I clutch
b16 crank pulley
removed ps, removed AC
LS tranny, i drive a lot of interstate, so a short geared is out of the question.
soon to come mods are the basic bolt ons.
i’ll tell you all how she drives after i break in the clutch.
