Finished installing JDM mirrors yesterday!

Well after a couple of hours of being upside down and under my dashboard my JDM mirrors have been hooked up. I will be submitting a how to in the TEG TIPS to help fellow G2IC members in future JDM mirror installs. I took pictures of the whole install so I will have pictures as well. i never really understood what the JDM folding mirrors meant…

VietG I guess that you used the same 4 dr Accord trunk pop in your Teg as you did in your Lude. What is the cost form the dealer for this part?

what is the purpose of them? Isnt in japan there space is more limited so they have easy folding mirrors to fit in tight spaces or something like that???

hey james why did u usethe usdm switch again? just wondering, cause i remember seeing the jdm switch and it had a extra button on it to close the mirrors and open, w hich the usdm won’t have?

yup…you’re right! and also sometimes when they go in tight roads…they can fold it…its like that also in some other asian countries…

i guess the only purpose here in U.S. is to fold it when u go racing 1/4 mile and open it back out to help stop the car…

so people would stop hitting my mirrors when walking by my car when parked in a lot with cars on each side…

I didn’t use the USDM switch. I used the JDM switch with the extra button to fold the mirrors. What I did use from the USDM version is the harness that plugs the mirrors in at the door. The JDM version is too big, since it has 5 wires which two wires are extra for recieving the signal to fold the mirrors, while the USDM has three wires, the adapter that mates the harness allows for only the USDM harness and not the JDM harness to fit. I hope I cleared things up!
