Fix slow windows and rattles in doors

i still havent done this yet. but o well my windows are never down anyways

Anybody have tips on how to get it off without breaking all the clips? I can’t really see how the clips are working as its a blind area and i already heard one of them break.

It may not have broken, they make a real loud snap when they first let go.

There is one small black screw on the end of the black trim piece facing the rear of the car. Just follow the black piece toward the rear with the door open and right behind (or slightly behind) the rubber weather door stripping you see screw I’m talking about. Take it out with a phillips screwdriver then just yank that whole plastic trim piece upwards, the same motion you made to get the window out. (The clips grip the inner skin of the door sorta like a paperclip holds paper together.) Its on there tight but the clips and will let go once that screw is removed, and upward force are applied. Once the window is in, re-install the trim piece by hooking up those metal tabs and sliding it into place.

TIP Be very careful or use a magnetic screwdriver to remove that screw. I can’t tell you how many times I dropped that effing thing down into the door, and it aint always easy to get out.

Hope it helps…

Anyone no the part number to the guides? I see guide rail in the acura parts page, but not guide. Trying to get a price

I’m pretty sure it is

73322-SK7-014 pass. side rear
73321-SK7-014 pass. side front
73331-SK7-014 driver side front
73332-SK7-014 driver side rear

and it cost about $25

Door rattle

Awesome wright up. I was alway to afraid to break the glass while pulling it out. But I finally grew some balls and did it!

so whatre the fluffy parts called? i think theyre number 8 and 39 on here but im not sure. can anyone reassure me please?

Ya I’m 99% sure that the fuzzy thing is #8 and it looks like the bolt is #39

I’m trying to figure out what I need to do this on my sedan. What parts? Obviously the sliders, but there are two listed. One is priced at 17, the other at 22. Only difference in description is (RR) I have no idea what I’m looking for.

I’m looking on acuraoemparts.com

how exactly can we “refluff” the thing?

Maybe cleaning the fibers with water and soap? The dirt that’s collected on the fibers are making it stick together so a good wash with soap and water will free the dirt and thus making the fibers fluffy? Just a guess and worth a try…

Raccoon, if you see this message, please re-upload the photos that have a dead link. Only a few of the images work. Thanks for the write-up! This should go into the teg tips.

I agree I would like to see pictures so I can attempt this when I get back. Sadly on 4 windows of 2 tegs

Anyway we can get these images re uploaded?

i have speed issues with my windows too and will be trying this soon. but i would like to know if u know how to make the windows go up higher and angle them. my passenger side window is stuck and can’t close all the way it needs to go up about 1 inch more.

Upload the pics again please. Need to get my windows fixed cuz they are starting to scratch! ACKK!

daflashback, you may have a broken guide thats getting pinched as it goes up, i had a similar problem till my window motor just burned out, when i got the replacement parts and pulled the thing apart i need new guides from acura cause both mine were busted, with a little adjustment and patience the window rolls up nice and smooth now.

Fixed the images.

All you need to do to view images that are gone is quote the original post, and you’ll see a url in between IMG tags. Get rid of the http://g2ic.com/blahblah until the actual image url starts, then just paste the url into your browser. If you’re nice, then you can upload the pics so that other people don’t have to do all that…

Note: that’s assuming that the pics are down because of the attempts to save all the pics onto the g2ic server, and not because the actual image hosting servers have removed the files…

thanks alot, that makes sense. i’ll keep that in mind when i repair the dent on my door. the damn parts for the window are all crammed up in the door. seem like hell to repair that simple guide.

i dont have power windows, but i think its called my ‘guide’ thats become brittle and has practically fallen apart. are these guides the same as in the power windows?

hello??!?! i need some help trying to locate either this little grommet or to know whether or not if i need to buy this guide. please help
