Fixing clutch pedal squeak

Squeaky clutch pedal no more!

My clutch pedal has been squeaking ever since I got it (2 weeks ago) its been bugging me since but never got around to trying to solve the problem. Today I had some spare time so I got under there to take a look at the clutch assembly.

First off you’ll need 2 basic things; wd-40 and lithium grease.

Lay something down on your floor to protect your carpet of any drips.

Now you’ll want to take the wd-40 and spray it into the parts where the spring touches the clutch pedal, and where the spring touches the brace.

After that you’ll want to take the lithium grease and spray it on the actual spring

Just for extra insurance that the noise wont come back, i sprayed it on the clutch cable itself.

Now you’ll want to get into the drivers seat and start pumping the clutch, it took me about 15-20 pumps and the noise is no longer there!

Be sure to park your car somewhere safe, and leave the windows cracked open for a few hours to air out the smell.
