I was wondering if these were worth the money or not??
Yea, they help a little. I doubt you would ‘feel’ much of a differance but its going to help some. Any bar you mount to the car is going to help somewhat.
Its a decent price, so you might as well buy one and try it out if your interested in it. Let us know if you do.
any analysis to back that up?
what exactly will this bar help? seems they suggest torsion in the body, but it appears to have a bolt to adjust the two sides, so that pretty much rules out help there. I doubt there is much tension or compression between the side sills.
would this fit/work in a 4dr as well
Aparantly you dont read SCC. About 3 years back SCC had article on a floorbar. Exactly like that one on Ebay. After they had installed it, they jacked up one side of the car and opened and closed the doors. Normally the doors would catch a little, but with the aide of the floorbar, it reinforced right between the b pillars. The doors closed as if it were sitting flat. I’ll do a search on the article.
And it being adjustable doesnt mean it wont work, there are lots of different adjustable strut bars for cars. It might not be a ideal design but its better than nothing.
no, I don’t read SCC. I would hardly trust a magazine that contains more advertizements than real info.
Hey, I’m not saying this is a must have piece or anything but it clearly does something. They didnt even include the name of the bar in the study so its not like they were trying to sell anything, they just said it was a generic Ebay brand. Easy experment to do yourself if you get the bar though. And its only 60$, might be worth it to someone.
And as far as not trusting a magazine that has more advertisments than info, have fun finding one then as 90% of them are that way these days.
I have an Areospeed floor bar. I never mounted it in my Teg as you will have to make a spacer or cut the mount to clear the seat belts in the side wall. I loanedit to a friend with an 00 Civic & lol if you trim the panel there is an unused threaded bolt hole

This had better not mean you trust SuperStreet. I’d have to laugh.
no, I would not trust any of the magazines. Personal references only.
