If i do the method like described in the teg tips of bending and prying the glare gaurds off with a screw driver, once it breaks off how do i get it out? Am i just supposed to leave it in there?
yep you can it will just dangle around. lol!!!
…Or just take a pair of pliers and just fish em out, but be careful cuz one time i ended up messin’ it up
If you have the JDM headlights, its better to heat up the entire assy. in the oven for about 2-3 min at about 250 F. The same goes for the USDM Fog lights. You just need enough heat on the base of the units so that the sealant is pliable. For the JDM headlights, I removed the glare guard on the regular headlights as well. I also cleaned up the glass fog lenses. be careful not to apply heavy pressure as the glass is old and very thin.
so your saying split the lights and then reseal them?
yup, thats what i did. just be sure to reapply new bead of hondabond or the grey form a gasket sealent from autozone.
^^^ yup super easy, did it to 4 pairs of jdm’s and a couple pairs of oem’s
