I’m sure its possible… but being that the fog and defrost buttons are right next to eachother, you only need like 3-4" of wire to splice them together.

That is a tried-and-true method to do it. Most people stick with what has been done and what they know works.

Find the fused 12V power source/wire for the running lights and have at it if you so desire.
