For those who tried different springs brands (Mostly Eibach and H&R)

Just want to know if there is a lot of difference in the ride quality of these two, comparing Eibach Sportline and H&R Sport springs.

I currently have Eibach Sportline on my car but the front drop is like 2.75, which is too low for me(I pretty sure the springs were cut, I bought them used) so I wanna replace them.

A guy said that I should buy H&R Sport instead of Sportline since the are better for the street and would last longer.

Just want to know if the ride quality will be better with H&R or should I stick with Eibach.

Thanks guys!

i bought the h&r sports because i heard they have the best ride quality. they do i have no complaints about them. if you do some searching you should be able to find a set for 130

I had H&R sports riding on a stock suspension for bout 2 yrs and then when I went to sell my car I ended up takin them off and sellin em to Nexidus and I know for a fact that neither of us have had any complaints. They are good quality springs with a nice ride that isnt too low. Still need a camber kit and everything, but otherwise theyre perfect.

i dont know why they would last longer or be better for street. eibachs have a lifetime warranty against sag. as for performance i dont know. i havent driven on h&r’s yet but sportlines are the softest imo. i actually wish i got something stiffer sometimes…

The sportlines should have a 1.75 to 2 inch drop. Check my sig and you can see that the drop is not too severe. I love them. Your springs must have been cut and that would be REALLY bad because the Eibachs are progressive spring rates. I can’t even imagine how messed up that must have been. I haven’t experienced the H&R ones.

so, what would you guys do if your were in my seat?

Here are the prices I got so far: (in Canadian dollars)

Eibach Sportline: $310 (US$200)
H&R Sport: $320 (US$210)
Neuspeed Sport: $295 (US$190)

I’ll be selling my ‘old’ Eibach Sportline to my friend for $150 (US$100) so i’ll have to dish out about $150 which is okay with me.

d3.: H&R Sport for US$130??? Damn, that’s like $200 canadian… pretty cheap! Want to ship me a set? lol!

i got my eibachs for 80 used =P didnt worry about sag cuz well, they shouldnt sag. is there any way you can find someone with h&r’s so you can have a feel for em?

ive had sportlines as well and i guess i’d rate in order of stiffness, eibach<h&r<neuspeed. i wouldnt mind trying h&r. i wouldnt do neuspeed again cuz if i want a stiff ride i just adjust my shocks.

Andre, does any of the places you got your prices from have the springs in stock? I need springs ASAP, either eibach sportlines, neuspeed or H&R race springs. Let me know!

teg92: none of them had anything in stock… But they can have them in like 2-3 days… I also checked with TRAC racing in MTL, they didn’t had the Sport springs in stock, but maybe they have the Race ones… try to call them, 1-888-414-TRAC (www.tracracing.com) the H&R sport are like $320…
