k, not sure if this is appropriate for this particular forum or not. i just want to let fellow g2’ers know of a really bad experience i had with a very well known import company, to be named later if deemed appropriate. not sure where to post this, but i fell so pissed off at this company that i need to get it out there.

This is for product reviews but you could probably post company reviews as well, did you have a bad product review from that company or just a general warning for fellow G2ers about them?
warning reguarding the company itself…and how they handle their business, which is not good business in my opinion.

Yeah no problem. I would not post good reviews for companies though because that’s free advertising & not fair for G2IC’s sponsors.
k. so back on august 25th, i call Andy’s Auto Sport to order some parts that i saw on their website. pretty good price. i call up, ask the guy SPECIFICLY if these parts are IN STOCK and will they ship today?? he replies YES they are, and yes they will ship today, you should see them in about a week. k, no problem.they charge my card THAT DAY.
well, two weeks go by , guess what? no freakin parts. oh boy. here we go. i call up Andy’s on the 8th of september. talk to the super-friendly sales guy who looks up my order. he tells me there was a problem with their system, and that the parts were NEVER in stock , and that they MAY ship out by the end of next week!!! AWESOME!!
if i had known this, i would have never ordered the shit from them in the first place! mind you, NO phone calls or emails of any kind to say hey, our mistake, the parts are on back order or anything. nothin. i tell him i will try to find the parts elsewhere over the weekend, and that i will be calling back on monday to cancel the order. he says OK.
monday rolls around, i call to cancel my order, and get my money back. or so i think…after being on hold for 7 minutes the kid who answers this time is not helpful at all. in order to cancel my order, they now are going to charge ME a “processing” fee of 10%!!! For something THEY fu**ed up in the first place! Now i am livid. i ask to speak with the manager, who, when getting on the phone, sounds exactly like the first jerk i talked to. hmmm…
after i explain my situation to him, he informs me that that is their policy and there is nothing he can do. i am so pissed at this point, i say screw it, charge me the fee, and refund my money. i am now informed it will take anywhere from 1 to 30 days for the money to refunded. that’s odd that it only took 3 minuters for them to TAKE my money…!!! “have a nice day sir” is all i get out of him, and then he hangs up on me… Really great way to run a business you deuchbags.
so, long story short, i go to my bank to put a stop payment on the charges, which they do nicely for me. i find the parts i need at my buddy’s local auto shop, which show up the next day. several days after that, guess what shows up at the house??? after i already cancelled the order??? you got it!!! so i sent them back.
thank you all who read this for letting me rant. to anyone who has been screwed by dishonest business people,i know how you feel. it seems like no one can do their jobs these days. or run a business like real people. Fair warning of doing any business with ANDY’S AUTO SPORT. if anyone has ties to Andy’s or knows them, i would love to entertain a response…but i know i will not be so blessed.

Sounds like the same way Autopartswarehouse.com does business. I’ve had bad enough run-ins with “good deal” online parts providers that I’ll be ordering all of my necessary items through my local parts department from now on.

Well, there is something to that…but not everyone you cant touch is a bad guy. Lots of us have very good online reps, and plan on keeping it that way.
