Frank swap

Hey wassup guys Im thinking about doing a head swap to a C5. Im currently runing the A1 its all just fine but I want more powe I mean who doesnt… I’m not to show how much of a differents there is between the 2 heads so thats pretty much what I need help with. Other than that I know Im gonna need the harnes and computer for that head and im also not to sure what else, I havent done a head swap this will be a first. I was also thinking about port and polishing the head and throwing some cams.

Let me know what you guys think and what else I may nee or if it would be better to just get a B1 head and doing the same as I was to the C5 on it or what. Just need to be shot on the right direction cause I’m just not 100% on what would be better off… Thanks

Readup on ls/vtec swap its a lot more than just a head swap & ecu…the link below will tell you everything you need to know.

You never said if you have a '90-91 or the '92-93.

If you have the '92-93, that means you’re already OBD1, so you just need a “vtec subharness” to run the vtec system, the rest of the engine harness is fine to use.

If you have a '90-91 it’s a bit more work, as it’s best to convert from OBD0 to OBD1, THEN do the swap.

Either way, the link posted by Sapmo is definitely one of the better how-to threads… but there are tons out there. Read up and see exactly what it takes to make a reliable motor.

Thats my faullt I have the 90 so I guess Ill have to convert to OBD1 and Ill deffenetly go check out that Link thanks Guys.
