I have a 93’ Integra LS Blue… I am about to do turbo and was wondering if you can just cut out the black pieces that go across the mouth on the stock bumper without any problems? If anyone has pics of this or knows if it affects the rigidity of the bumper let me know… Thanks
im doing it, and shoving a metal mesh grill in the back, gonna be even more solid than the stupid ugly stock thing and look a little sharper. with nothing, it may be less rigid, you may want to check it out for yourself.
It’s a stock bumper, it’s not going anywhere. I took the 4 bolts out, dropped the whole front bumper and went away on it with a dremel. Easy.
You fuckin dipshit get a life! cut the bumper and the car will just fall apart on the freeway. The impact of the wind will crush your radiator and your car will overheat and destroy your duel vtech headers. But if you add oil to your radiator it will gain 10 hp to the wheels and it will add extra cooling power to your type r tranny. Make sure you leave enough space to fit your oil filter in your bumper and use a blowtorch to melt the plastic. cutting will not work because the metal clips will not reinforce the duel ys2 axles properly. :gay:
what…the…fuck…
i dont know if you’re being sarcastic or not, but he asked if it would affect the rigidity of the bumper itself, not the reliability of the whole car. dipshit.
:blah:
I didn’t think his question was THAT bad, no need to go off on the kid…
I was thinking about using a hack saw or something similiar to just cut those ugly pieces out? Or is there more involved than that? And how hard and where do I get the mesh setups?
i got a peice of mesh metal a bit bigger than i needed, and shaped it myself. i put it behind, in the bumper, i will try get pics soon to show you what it would look like. it wont affect rigity at all, maybe even will be better cause its attached in more places than the stock grille, and is pretty damn stiff metal, so it won’t matter…as for the guy writing those weird (but funny) comments, WTF? this post isn’t as stupid as the muffler bearing!?
yea man, some pictures would be great…I would appreciate anything you have…
well i should have some by wednesday, im putting the bumper on tomorrow, and will take some pics ASAP…
the only time u need to worry about over heating is when u have a rotory car cause they heat up really fast both my friends have rx7s and one cut out his peices in his and it affected it badly. but u really dont have to worry about that if u cut out the plastic peices yes it will affect the rigidty but that is what im going to do so im all for it.
I know that sorry fool lsvtec aint yelling at me.
I took off my front bumper so I can cut out my stock grill easier. That was it.
So if your dumbass thinks that I cut out my reinforcement bar, then you are sadly mistaken.
:gayfight:
duel is dual…spelled with an “a”
…Dipshit
:loser:
Go ahead and cut out the front parts. Unless your putting mesh or an intercooler I can’t imagine why you would want to risk stuff flying in there. It might destroy your duel headers and your ys2 hydro tranny so why risk it? Not to mention the time it took you to fabricate those custom heads from cross-drilled metals. :gayfight:
ok it was stupid the first time, but that made me laugh  cross drilled metals? lol
What happened to 91lsvtec first post?
What a joke.
Anybody up for a YU-GI-OH battle?!!!
LETS DUEL…
it’s time to du-du-du-du-du-du-dueeeeeel
A sad day
Unfortunately we have to deal with people like 91lsvtec on a daily basis… I realize the way things go in todays society we should all be used to it by now… But do we have to allow :gayfight: like him on here? To destroy our posts? Its very unsettling, and unsat in my mind
