front control arms?

has anyone heard of any companies making aluminum aftermarket front lower control arms?

also would ground controls that fit konis on a dc be able to fit konis on a da?

no thoughts from anyone?

just use DC koni’s and DC front drop forks, unless you have the Koni’s already, in which case i wouldnt be able to tell you if it would work, try it and see, let us know.

no one makes DA specific front lower arms like everyone does for the rear. my guess is that they dont have the bling appeal that the rears do, since you can see the rears from behind the car.
to be honest, the front lower control arms take a lot more stress than the rears and i wouldnt trust aluminum up there unless it was forged. billet and formed aluminum dont have the grain integrity to hold up to the abuse, forged aluminum is also way more expensive and to make forged aluminum control arms would probably cost the consumer almost double maybe triple what rear billet arms cost.
almost 70% of your cars weight is on the front arms. they support your motor and transmission and control your steering and they are usually the first thing to fail when you understeer into a retaining wall or curb. (and thats the OEM ones made from hardened steel) it takes no less than a slight bump to bend the shit out of billet aluminum arms, ive seen it happen to rear ones a couple times in daily driving situations. ive even seen a billet rear arm snap on the freeway (we figured it was a design flaw, but its food for thought)

i know omni-power makes lower control arms for the EF chassis, and they would work if they had the radius arm locations in the same place as the DA and were overall a little longer, as they create positive camber when on a DA since they are shorter. ive tried them, they dont work.

just get a different set of front lca’s, take out the bushings, paint them, then put in energy suspension bushings. thats what im doing. i did find some aluminum ones though once. try searching in google shopping

You could have a custom set made if you like, heres an example. Made of chromoly instead of aluminum.
