Front speaker

Ok, quick question. I went to remove the stock front speakers on my teg (coupe). I removed the grille that covers them, and unscrewed the 2 screws that hold the speaker in place, but i found another screw that is still underneath the door pannel. I cannot get to this last screw since the door pannel is blocking it. Is there anyway to remove the front speakers without removing the door pannels? Thanks.

I’ve installed quite a few sets of front speakers in my teg without removing the door panels… maybe use a better screwdriver that lets u work on a greater angle?

If that doesn’t work for you, you can always unscrew and unclip the door trim, allowing you to hinge it up to access stubborn screws.
Orrrr, you can remove the entire plastic basket that holds the speaker, thats my preferred option.

If you take off the speaker cover, you can pull at the door trim at the front bottom corner of the door. It’s held in place with a few clips. Get it to move out a bit, and you should be able to get a screwdriver in there enough to work the screw loose.

I’ve never had to remove the door panel for anything either, and I installed a 7" speaker set complete with 1/2" MDF speaker ring and silicone sealant on the backside, without any problems.
