I’ve been here for some years now so some people can vouch for me.
I have three more sets ready for shipping as of 4/6/13.
I have for sale a couple sets of speed sensors for our cable b series trannys when you want to delete the power steering.
this speed sensor replaces your stock one and has the same teeth count so it works just as OEM. only thing it doesn’t have is the two outlets for the power steering hoses, now you don’t have to loop any lines when deleting the p/s.
it also works with your stock speed cable so no mods are needed.
its a straight plug, drop and play set up.
I’ve ran this set up in my old jdm y1 tranny with LSD and ls ys1 tranny with no issuse, mph are accurate.
im really confused as to how the speed sensor is affected at all by the power steering? im about to do my ps delete with a manual rack conversion…but ive never seen anyone mention the speed sensor
theres are from another car, that means these are used units.
the top part of the speed sensor has lines in and out for power steering fluid to flow through.
so if you delete the p/s then some folks loop them or leave them open.
this speed sensor doesnt have those tube fittings.
Our stock speed-sensors are tied into the PowerSteering system, and are big and bulky. When deleting the PS, many people opt to get the non-PS unit. It has a much smaller profile and isn’t a huge eyesore like our stock ones.
Hmm I’m slightly confused now too I don’t recal having any lines going to my vss when I pulledy motor and I’ve been selling the bushing kits for the non ps rack swap for awhile and have never had anyone ask what to do with the lines off the vss
the one that da6xsi06 has its from a civic or crx non powersteering. I had this on my crx when i took it out when i did a swap and it had it on my cable tranny just the same.
Hmm mine did not have this must of been swapped out previously the steering rack was looped when I got the car this is good to know for future reference
yea i just checked mine has the power steering lines there, lemme go over my budget and see if i can get one, cuz im ordering all new brake pads, rotors, and rear wheel bearings next week…
just get at me by email…
you guys can try to source them out yourself but I can assure you wont find the one with the same teeth count. your mph is going to be off.
i wish u would just tell us where we could get these from instead of just trying to whore them all out urself…some guys would rather just go pay a few bucks at the yard for them then have to pay $40 plus shipping…so why dont u do us all a favor and tell us where we can get them ourselves
