Does anyone know how hard it is to get a CDM car imported to the US? I see them occasionally in my job, but no idea the process.

I sold a Black Canadian 92 GS-R on ebay last year and after spending a few weeks talking with the import people and the buyer - they would not import the car into the USA. They said that since the Canadian car had the manual belts - it wasn’t technically identical to the model they received. I think the main issue was getting some letter from Acura and after I spoke to different people I just hit a wall. Had to cancel the sale. It was frustrating because I know there are Canadian Integras driving around in Seattle just across the border - so its obviously possible somehow.
