Fuckin Cops!!!

Hmmm… That I did not know. I guess I just have been lucky for the last 5 years.

pay the tickets n keep ridin lol
thats true, but several older model (mid 90s) saturns have DRL fogs on all the time, located right next and in line to the headlight. DA fogs with their glare shields in place aren’t particularly bright at all.

in the end it comes down to how bored a LEO is as far as the fog light issue is concerned.
Today when i was going to school i was thinking to myself why do those saturns always have their fogs on…

geeze and here i’ve always hated ohio. lol, i’m glad im not there.

lol way to base your opinion of CA on just a few incidences…

DarkDB1 and i never had any issues with cops and our fog lights. I guess it all depends where in CA you live.

then again my car is close to stock looking…with only LS mesh and a 1" drop, and modified yellow fogs. I dont draw too much attention.

i’m sure if you were to eliminate the yellow fog covers and run white bulbs you can pass that off as DRLs.

to the OP: did he bust out a tape measure? or did he just assume cause you lack a wheel gap when he pulled you for the height of the lights and plate?

well for me im lowered well below the legal limit any way you try to test it . i always drive with my fogs on and they are yellow , (DarkDB1) can vouche for me . and i have an exhaust loud when i want it to be . and you know what i never get hassled . maybe its cause i dont speed or race or rev my motor like an idiot . oh and DarkDB1 can vouche for that too .

Not that it’s a bad place. Besides I get enough shit from the police as it is, let alone picky police. Here in Ohio I can do whatever I want with my car and have them not say anything. Especialy in the summer, minni truckers drive around damn near sparking the roads (If they do they get pulled over, but as long as it’s not touching they don’t care). You can have your fogs on whenever, etc. etc. The only things these guys give a shit about is the system, extremely loud exhausts (damn ricers) and window tint.

Steve-you do have a valid point tho. But you’ve seen my car. I do have a front plate. My exhaust isn’t that loud.

Spikey-thanx for the heads up. Its greatly appreciated.

To the guy that called me the OP-he didn’t bust out the measure tape or anything. He was just assuming.

I wasn’t speeding at all. I was driving speed limit(40) in 5th. Wasn’t shifting at high rpm’s either. So besides raising my car, what else should I do? Fight the rest of the complaints or just put everything back.

To the guy that said he runs fogs all the time-ive been drivin like that in the day for the past 8 months and never got pulled over. And I live in daly city. Its always foggy up here.

To the guy that said I wa slucky-yea true tho. He could’ve gave me a smog ticket.it coulda been worse.

Foglamps
24403. (a) A motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two foglamps that may be used with, but may not be used in substitution of, headlamps.

This VC doesn’t say you can’t use your fog lights only during the day. It says you can’t use your foglights only as a substitution of headlamps. I take that as using your foglights at night without headlams on. Or if you are on a section of highway that requires to have your headlamps on during the day. Having fogs on only during the day does not violate that VC, as they are not substituting the use of headlamps.

Cops for the most part are just profiling, using the license plate and exhaust excuse to find bigger fish, ie DUI drivers or gang bangin drug dealers. There are a few dkHd cops out there who have a God complex and have nothing better to do than F**k with the public. Measure the height of ur car to see if it makes the 22" (that would be the big fix) and the other stuff is minor. Put the plate where it is suppose to be. The exhaust, get a print out of where it says it’s 50 state legal, a copy of ur last smog certificate and go down to DC police station and see if you can get someone to sign it off. Then after a month, put the plate where u want to, drop the car where u want to and stay away from that cops beat. lol

Was it DC or Colma pd?

Oh ok…so it is fine…thanks bro…so should bring a copy of that section with me to the pd when I go there?

Didn’t realize it was DC PD… The name on the ticket doesn’t happen to be Sanchez does it?

It was dcpd…man its really buggin the hell out of me…so I should just put the front plate back in the middle of the bumper?..and I checked the flowmaster webcite…it says certain kits are 50 state legal…it doesn’t say anything about just the muffler…so what should I do?

No it doesn’t say sanchez…honestly his name just looks like scribble…do you know someone?..maybe someone to write it off =)

He won’t write it off if it’s not fixed…

Was the cop a big mexican guy with a shaved head?

What part of OH are you in? I’m around Akron, and I haven’t been pulled over in at least a year. They got me for no front plate a few times, just warnings, but haven’t cared in a LONG ass time. I’m technically sitting too low but I know Ohio police wouldn’t even bother with that. I pass them all the time at dawn/dusk running just my fogs, when it’s bright enough that people aren’t using headlights just yet.

Na it was a tall semi skinny bald white boy.

Ah… No idea who that is.

I’m surprised you got pulled over for that IN DC. I see Modded cars all over the place. must have been a bored cop lol. just fix the easy stuff, most of the time cops don’t know what is and isn’t actually legal, some have binder they check too see what’s " Legal".

1 put the sticker on, or just put it on the hood in the engine bay. out of site out of mind, but if you get pulled over, it’s there.
2. measure your car and check it to see if it’s in spec.
4. print out the magnaflow certificate/ thing saying it’s lega for a newer model integra, as long as it says integra and 50 state legal, you should be good, i doubt the officer who is inspecting, will fight you on it, especially if you went out of your way to print it out.
5. if you have Oem one piece headlights, they are illegal anyways since they have no Dot stamp. so that one is kind of iffy.

just get the little stuff fixed, if you take the initiative to go down most cops that do the inspection are lax if everything looks right.

I was pulled over for expired registration on 5 when i use to live in Modesto, by Chp. he also got me for no license plate up front.
I went down to Modesto pd on a Saturday, with my new tags and the license plate on with jdm angle holder. cop, gave the car a walk around and signed it off, easy fix and took less than 5 minutes.

oh yeah, do it on a Saturday, lol that might be your best bet, due to all the other officers on patrol and the station officers who have to stay at the station, want to get out and do something other than paperwork.

I’m from Ashtabula county. YEah it seems we are pretty lucky our cops are so lax. Unfortunately we get pulled over a lot for “calls about street racing”. But thats due to the idiots around here that rip up and down city streets like speed racer. I know an idiot who got pulled over raceing in the same spot my 18 yr. old pregnant cousin was killed at by street racer. Dumbass actualy had the nerve to post on our local forum about how terrible the cop treated him.

Sorry about the hard times you guys get. It would get pretty detterring after a while. But I guess that is the price you pay to live in the heart of it all.
