sometimes I will be driving and the car will just seem like its losing gas, I’ll be pushing the pedal and it just won’t go anywhere. But then it will just “kick in” and then rev like normal. It happens randomly and only when under load. Haven’t noticed if I try to rev the engine.
would this be from a faulty fuel pump or clogged lines?
The engine sometimes idles a little rough too, but then other times it idles perfectly and the car is REALLY smooth. b20b block with 10.5 pistons, 98 p75 head with crower valve springs. dc 4-1 headers, carsound cat.
Its happened ever since I put the header and cat on. Maybe I should reset the ECU?
do you have a fuel pressure guage? I have the same problem and I think it’s my pump going out. It seems to happen under load and most of the time with a low tank of gas. It will completely cut out and just kick in. See if you have pressure to the filter and if you do it could very well be a clogged or dying pump.
sounds like an igniton problem to me cutting out than kicking back in…
but near immpossible to kno from not experiencing it
coils when dying also have the same symptoms i know i have had 4 oem dizzys go out on me…
I don’t have a fuel pressure gauge. I just changed my intake manifold to the blox manifold and the fuel rail had adequate fuel pressure.
I have been thinking about exchanging my distributor since I have a lifetime warranty from kragen. I’ll call around tomorrow to find a store that I can replace with.
