Fuel pump location

Whats up everybody!? I have a 90 LS and I have a dumb question.Do I have to remove my tank to get the fuel pump out?I still can’t figure out why my car will not run.I am getting worried that it will not be a simple fix.

Fuel tank does not have to be removed. Take out back seat for access to the pump.

Uh, at least in the hatchbacks, and I think in the 4-drs, the fuel tank has to be dropped to get the fuel pump out. You can only get access to the fuel sender via the backseat, not the fuel pump. I’d check the connection to the fuel pump that is under the back seat, as well as listen for the fuel pump turning on before dropping the tank to pull the pump. Good luck!

Fuel pump location

Well, another weekend goes by and I am still driving something other than my teg!I went through everything that i could think of to find out what was wrong.it is not the relays, the filter.or the ignition system.I did find out that the fuel pump in my hatchback can only be removed by dropping the tank.I am looking for a new pump, stainer and filter today.I really hope this is the last step to getting back in my ride!!! I will let you guys know if this doesnt work. Thanks for all the help.

90 LS Hatchback.

Did replacing your fuel pump fix the problem?

do not need to drop tank to remove fuel pump. as i know of for hatchbacks.

I saw that before, but everyone that I have talked to about it said they had to drop the tank to get to the fuel pump, even on hatchbacks. I think that article is for Eclipse’s, or just a general procedure.

I replaced my fuel pump a while back.
On 90 LS, you must drop the fuel tank.
On later models (G3s), Acura engineers wise up and put in access hatch.

you definitely have to drop the fuel pump. i did this job two months ago, i would deffinitely spend the extra 30 dollars for a performance pump.
