hey G2IC,
i swapped a b17 into a 93 RS and converted to manual… the swap went well and everything but i went to crank and the fuel pump does not prime and the MFR doesnt click on ither. i have 3 MFRs that have worked when i took em off the car, all three give the same thing… i checked all fuses and i even jumped the fuel pump directly and it works… im thinking mayb the wiring at the shifter when converting to manual because thats all i messed around with as for wires… im searching beyond belief but all i rly find is MFR MFR MFR and or bad ECU but i also checked 2 ECUs i will continue searching but any input is welcome thx…
durring the swap, did you find a way to deal with the park/nuetral safety switch or the clutch interlock switch
i did not know i needed to do anything about that i just read about it now in the auto to manual swap thread i will try it out and go from there.
in the write up it says 2 fat blk wire together. and the rest is for reverse lights… if i hook just the 2 fat black together my key gets stuck in the ingnition. so i figured out how to get the key out but im still stuck on the pump not priming. i tried what it says in the write up and its a no go. reverse lights didnt even work… im not to worried about lights illl worry about that another time its the pump i want working so i can start the car. im sure its right here where the shifter is cause thats the only wiring i messed with the rest was bolt in and go.
any input??
start cleaning all the terminals for the fuel system, could be a loose connection. try a little cleaner and maybe pinch the connections a little bit closer together? it could be the simplest thing you never know.
yea i figured it was probly something stupid so just to rule it out i have been doing this all morning lol
im wondering if my car would not give fuel if the coolant temp sensor isnt pluged in?
does the CEL illuminate when the key is in the on position?
here is the connector your looking for, its the two pins on the lower right had side
and heres how i jumped them on the chassis side of the harness
all this assuming thats what your problem is
the green/white and the blk need to contact in order to start?
double checked… i had that wired up just like you…
